The host was really nice and welcoming and spoke good enough English to have a good conversation. We arrived in le Portel for 3pm and was allowed to check in for 5pm. The beachfront on the doorstep was an excellent way to pass the couple of hours. The 2 days we spent here was very comfy and relaxing for which we then began our journey to Brittany (excellent for a stop over location). The host was really accommodating of our small dog Gracie too which was lovely.

A slightly earlier check in would be nice as it was an extremely long day driving from the Midlands to Le portel and we would have been ready to settle in by half 3...

Manque de réactivité du propriétaire quant au problème de chauffage (nécessaire en cette saison notamment sdb) Message chaque jour pour qu’il relance la chaudière. Très désagréable.

Belle découverte

Petit appartement très bien situé sur la digue; en plus un emplacement de parking juste en face. Il n'y a qu'à traverser la route et descendre quelques escaliers et on est sur la plage; le Portel était assez animé (pas mal de restaurants ouverts le soir) malgré la période; le contact a été très facile avec les propriétaires qui nous ont fourni des explications sur les choses à voir dans les alentours; à recommander.
