Relaxing place in the middle of the Ligurian mountains

Very charming and cosy. Lovely atmosphere. And Piero is a very good host. Great location for hikes.

Rustic mountain retreat

I've never been in a more rustic environment than in Mendatica. It's the ideal retreat from busy city life! You can walk for days in the forests without encountering anyone, see lots of wildlife and starry skies. The cabin is big and very well maintained, and beautifully decorated. The kitchenette is well-equipped, with pans, pots and bialettis, an induction cooking plate, a fridge and an electric oven. The owner, Piero, is very helpful and friendly. Something to keep in mind: Mendatica is very small. Consider cooking yourself (nearest restaurant is 15 min by car) and visiting a supermarket before going up in the mountains. But there is also a very small shop in the village for some basic groceries (pasta, passata, canned foods,...)

Lovely Stone Cottage

Tucked up in the mountains, a stone cottage with a rustic feel. Inside offers all you need for a comfortable stay. Lots of stone, wood, and decorative details that give you a feel for the architecture and history of this region of Italy. We were greeted when we arrived, shown around the apartment, given the keys, and they even had the pellet heating stove going to warm up the cottage. Comfy bed, nice bathroom, and equipped kitchen to cook meals if you like. A little off the beaten path, but if you're visiting this mountain region, a nice place to stay. There is a set of stairs to climb to get up to the cottage from the road, but well worth the effort. The exterior and other stone buildings around the cottage are like out of a medieval fairy tale.

Super top, il proprietario persona disponibile e attenta agli ospiti

Il proprietario persona gentile e disponibile, ci ha accompagnato all’interno spiegandoci in modo breve ma esaustivo come utilizzare i fornelli a induzione e la stufa (una vera chicca, crea un’atmosfera molto rilassante). Struttura pet friendly, io e il mio compagno abbiamo soggiornato qui per Capodanno con i nostri due gatti. Appartamento più spazioso di quanto ci eravamo immaginati, con box doccia e servizi nella norma. Letto spazioso e comodo (e ve lo dice una persona che ha spesso problemi di schiena in letti altrui), con un cuscino a testa; sul letto abbiamo trovato anche asciugamani per la doccia. Utensili della cucina ben tenuti, trovate disponibile il caffè, il sale e lo zucchero, ed anche l’olio! La struttura è in una zona super tranquilla, ideale per staccare dalla frenesia della vita di città. Rapporto qualità prezzo ottimo, super consigliata!

Bagno cieco, ma dotato di ventola funzionante, quindi un “””difetto””” solo puramente estetico. Con tutte le altre note positive della casa diventa praticamente un difetto nullo.

CONSIGLIATISSIMO per rilassarsi

Una baita intima, accogliente e silenziosa...perfetta per chi desidera staccare la spina e isolarsi per qualche giorno.. abbiamo trovato la permanenza rigenerante. Siamo stati accolti dal proprietario che ci ha accompagnato in casa la stufa era già accesa ed essendo sotto le feste abbiamo trovato ad accoglierci un grazioso albero di Natale che contribuiva a rendere l'atmosfera ancora più da favola. Abbiamo soggiornato con il nostro pastore tedesco che è stato accolto senza problemi.

Per chi soggiorna con il proprio cane sappia che il cortiletto non è chiuso da cancelletto ma si raggiungono facilmente a piedi prati oltre il borgo che è piacevole da visitare. È consigliato procurarsi qualcosina da tenere in casa per cibarsi in quanto vi è un unico minimarket in paese essendo un paesino piccino e dovesse essere chiuso è necessario prendere l'auto per raggiungerne uno.

Soggiorno piacevolissimo nella tranquillità, nel silenzio, immersi nella natura. Molto molto soddisfatto.

Casa in pietra e legno ristrutturata con cura e attenzione ai dettagli: presente tutto ciò che può servire a rendere piacevole il soggiorno, compreso un graziosissimo giardino con sedie e tavolo. Host disponibile, attento e cordiale.

Una bella scoperta!

Ottima base per il giro in moto che volevamo fare tra mare ed entroterra ligure. E grazie all'indicazione fornitaci abbiamo scoperto il Colle San Bartolomeo che ci ha regalato uno splendido scenario. Consigliamo a tutti i motociclisti di approfittare di questo alloggio così bello e caratteristico per scoprire una Liguria meno conosciuta ma decisamente fascinosa.

Hôte très gentil sincèrement attaché à sa région. Plein d'infos pour passer un séjour de découverte. La maison est confortable mais la cuisine et la chambre sont sombres.
