Disgusting and unhygienic – not as advertised

I booked this property based on positive cleanliness reviews, which was so important for me having two young children; I now realise most of these were from 2023, and what we experienced was appalling. The house was filthy: sticky carpets and floors, cigarette butts throughout the garden, a grimy oven, dirty kitchen cupboards and fridge door/handles, stains on the bathroom floor, and an extremely overgrown, unsafe garden (including a worn and rusty tin fence and 2 loose bricks left on top of a storage box). My 2 year old even saw a shiny red item down the sofa cushion and it was a full-sized screwdriver - lucky I was there to reach for it before he did! It was clear this wasn’t a one-off missed clean - it reflected consistent neglect and lack of maintenance. I had to use my cleaning products and spent time scrubbing surfaces just to make it remotely livable, which was especially distressing as I was staying with two young children, who spend time on the floor. The listing did not reflect the reality of the property, and the 2 night stay was uncomfortable and stressful. The host acknowledged the poor condition and promised a partial refund, but communication has since stalled. I’ve submitted extensive photo and video evidence. I strongly advise others to avoid this property until it is properly cleaned and maintained.

Great place and location

Check in was straightforward and no issues at all. The location is quite central with shops within walking distance. The property had a really good ambience, and was quite cosy. Biscuits and a variety teas were provided which was quite handy. The host also checked on us regularly and was quick to respond to issues.

The rooms could do with extra bed covers and handwash should be provided in the bathroom. Nonetheless I would recommend the apartment.

Amazing house, even better than in the pictures! Big garden, living room and kitchen with plenty of space for a whole family to eat and lie down comfortable in the sofas. Adequate bedroom sizes with comfortable beds. The place was superclean when we arrived. Really easy communication with the host. We will be back!

Lovely apartment, most importantly the kids enjoyed the stay.

The rooms were all clean and nice to my expectation. It was accessible to places we needed to visit. Quiet area for a weekend break which was good.

The comment I will like to make is when you sit out in the garden, there was a really bad smell from the sewage I think especially if someone is in the bathroom.

fantastic trip, accommodation really made it

within the group there was a couple with 2 children and another parent with 1 child. firstly, the property is beautifully presented and spacious, fitting us all in comfortably. secondly, it is so well equipped we actually could have packed less. guest relations kept in contact and ensured we knew the process for check in, maintaining contact throughout our stay to ensure we had everything we needed, and on check out. we usually take an annual trip to Southampton and stay at a hotel but I will definitely use this property again if available

I’m unsure what the going rate for damage deposit is, which you don’t need worry about in a hotel. with 3 children under 6 I was a bit worried at the 250 deposit and genuine accidents rather than neglect or abuse of the property and if there was any allowances e.g. dropped crockery. I found myself cautioning the kids, when there was probably no need, to reduce the risk of losing the deposit. we took extra care to ensure we left the property in a state as we’d like our own to be in. essentially, this was my only worry but look after the property, deposit is refunded with ease and nothing to worry about

Great house to stay in southampton

Great house in Southampton. It's very big! 3 bedrooms. Everything is clean, comfortable and modern. The price is good. well equipped kitchen, nice outdoors space. Good shower. Near Riverside park, which is beautiful. Driveway to park the car.

No toilet downstairs, we have to go upstairs.

the perfect holiday experience an our first as a family with five year old twins due to covid over the last 2 years

absolute beautiful an well kept property.. very spacious, very comfortable, clean an very child friendly. the property owner Nino was fantastic to deal with. the location was perfect for our trips to peppa pig world, legoland an longleat safari.. we touched lucky for this house an I highly recommend this property for any family with young kids ..
