The staff were very friendly, helpful and very understanding for us to be able to check out and in a little bit later due to the circumstances of our stay. We were able to meet up with other family members the night before a sad farewell and nothing was too much trouble. The bed was so very, very comfortable and the bathroom was clean, tidy with a decent shower which is 2 of the main factors I look for.
The tv didn't work properly but that wasn't a big issue for us as after travelling for 3 hours all we wanted to do was sleep...a breakfast option would have been good??

Staff were friendly and helpful.
Was pleasantly surprised by the shower - very powerful!
My bed had clean sheets but there was a massive, ominous looking stain on the mattress that you could see through the sheet. I didn’t investigate further for fear of what I might find, and slept on top of the duvet with a towel as a blanket. It was not a comfortable night.

Very good value, nice large room, comfortable bed and powerful shower. Pizza place is great, African food looked really good too. Charismatic, different, much and better than it looks.
Don’t judge a book by its cover it’s a bit shabby dark, impersonal (but private) noisy (disco, busy road and loud plumbing), but I had a great nights sleep! No breakfast. No lift.
Absolutely ideal for a stag or hen party etc.

Convenient location.
Lovely staff, easy checking.
The room looked pleasant at first with nice white bedding ...... the story will end here. Bedsheets had holes in it, bathroom windows and.shower cubicle had mould.
Very loud late night (visited midweek)

Room was disaster. The room was dirty, smelled of urine, the ceiling was cracked and moldy.

Friendly reception and very easy check-in. Very comfortable bed, large room and clean, modern bathroom with plenty of hot water. While very little on-site parking, easy street parking right outside the premises.
No soap/shampoo dispenser fitted in the shower, so had to take in and hold the dispenser bottle from the hand basin.
On a hot Friday night with windows open there was a lot of noise from customers leaving the pub below late in the evening

Terrible beds, dirty carpets, walls, bedding with stains. Everything old and smells horrible. Very noisy road nearby so no sleep at night

The rooms we booked were large and had plenty of space, each room had a small TV and Essentials needed for a morning brew.
The hotel itself wasn't the problem, the venue downstairs/underneath had music blaring so loud our beds shook and we got nothing but rude responses each time we spoke with them. Again, separate to the hotel but it really ruined the stay and kept the children up.

The staff were friendly and helpful.
The room was in a state of disrepair. The window was rotten and glass looked cracked. A tool had been left on the window sill.

Dirty bedsheets, the bathroom has clearly not been cleaned between guests as there were specks of ?vomit everywhere, holes in the towels. The carpet was full of hair and all sorts so clearly not been hovered in a long time. The staircase smelled of weed. Downstairs it smelled like a dirty carehome. Please book anything else rather than this hotel. I know it’s cheap, we thought it will be ok for a one night stay as it is quite outdated - don’t care about that if the place is clean but this was not the case. All night people were slamming doors, very questionable other guests as it sounded like they were moving furniture all night and making all sorts of noises - just a weird place, extremely bad experience overall.

The double bed was comfortable, no issues with the Wifi or TV. The shower was excellent.
A bit traffic noisy on street level. An inflated price that was reduced, didn't seem to fit that type of accommodation.

A little dated

Friendly woman who eventually sorted out WiFi. Pub in dowstairs part looked fine.
Chaotic on arrival - OK in the end. Front door and general areas beyond shabby but bathroom had been done up. Dirty, very worn carpet on stairs, stained carpet in entrance, rickety front door with peeling paint, very dirty windows in room (that didn't matter though).

It was a nice quaint room. It was clean and quiet even though it was over a bar. The staff was friendly. The only thing was the stairs were long and steep, but the staff helped us get the big suitcases up stairs, so all was good.
Getting to the door you had to walk around the building and the cement and steps were old and broken in places, so it was hard pulling suitcases.

Good place for people without children. You can eat, drink and dance in the bar downstairs.
No information about loud music until midnight in the bar below the hotel. For families with children, this is a problem because children cannot sleep.

The room was of a good size, light an airy which we liked. Bed was comfortable, generous width and clean. Parking on site was a bonus. I normally prefer to stay where I can get breakfast but this was a fairly late booking and accepted the shortfall upfront.
The windows and bathroom floor were not quite spick and span and there were chips out of the door frame. We were there on one of the hottest weekends this year and I was unable to get the shower temperature down to a level I would stand under. There is no lift, but having notified of my wife's loss of mobility we were allocated the room closest to the stairs, which were an easier ascend than I expected, and we were grateful for that.

Dirty beyond reproach, small room, incredibly expensive for the low standards.
