Ograda Bunicilor

Sunt locuri frumoase și sunt oameni frumoși, iar la Ograda Bunicilor din Baia de Fier am avut norocul să le găsim pe amândouă. Ceea ce trebuia să fie doar o vacanță s-a transformat într-o experiență de suflet, datorită lui Cristian și Melania, doi oameni minunați, care ne-au primit cu căldură, grijă și o ospitalitate rar întâlnite. Ne-am bucurat de aceste zile minunate alături de cățeii noștri, Freya și Thor, care s-au simțit la fel de bine și de bineveniți ca si noi. Am găsit aici nu doar un loc frumos și liniștit, ci și oameni minunați, cu suflet mare, care pun pasiune în tot ceea ce fac. Mulțumim, Cristian și Melania, pentru grija, generozitatea și căldura cu care ne-ați primit. Ograda Bunicilor nu este doar o pensiune, ci un loc în care vii ca turist și pleci cu sufletul mai bogat. Abia așteptăm să revenim! 🌿🏡🐾

The guest accomation was immacultely clean and well equiped. The rooms have wood panels designed by local artisans and very comfortable bedding. The rooms are also large and very light. A lot of thought and effort was put into the design of the buildings and surrounding gardens. A lovely blend of authentic local features with all the modern amenities required. The food also excellent and the hosts provided a personal touch to make every guest feel very warmly welcomed. As a non meat eater I was served with delicious local trout accompanied by locally sourced vegitables. There is also a great wine selection and the communal dinning room in the resturant is the heart of the venue. They have beautiful grass lawns at the front of the property and a lot of play things for children, including swings and mini football pitch. There is even a table tennis table that guests can use undercover at the rear of the property. The property itself is ideally situated to exlore the local countryside inlcuding the famous caves and a large gorge that seperates two local mountain ranges. You can even walk along the gorge in the river below during the summer months.

Nothing whatsoever. Every effort had been made to ensure the guests have a wonderful experience.

Perfectly located, in a peaceful area surounded by mountains - Transalpina, Polovragi and Muierii Caves are quite near. The village itself is beautiful, with beautiful houses and gardens in bloom. At Ograda we found absolute comfort, with all we could need, in the room and in the garden. Exceptional, very friendly and open-hearted hosts, home made food that tasted amazing. On top, pet friendly, so our 2 dogs felt perfect, also. We will come back for sure!

Everything. The staff, the food, the stories told by the owner and recommendations what is worth visiting, the air- so clean and refreshing, the spacious rooms and their design. There isn't anything bad to say about this place.

The fact that we had to leave, because our vacation was short.
