This is a beautiful cottage, very comfortable, and the lovely, long, well planted garden is definitely a highlight. You can tell that a lot of love has gone into making the cottage as accommodating as possible. It is homely, clean, and has everything you could need, plus the beds are very comfy. We found Helmsley to be a very pretty town, with some lovely restaurants, cafes, shops and pubs. Also it's the perfect base for both Whitby and York, with Helmsley being around halfway between them.

The location was great. We didn't have a problem with free parking in the bay outside. Very comfortable beds. Super stylish decor. Well equipped kitchen. We loved the White Company and Neom diffusers around the place. I slept in the little room down the garden. My 20-something children and their partners slept in the house. It didn't feel cramped at all, and they were able to ' work from home ' in the kitchen. WiFi was good. The place was very clean.

No issues at all. If I had to find one, it would just be maybe to provide another tea towel and bath mat for a group of 5.

Great setting and garden. Cottage is small but well kept and well styled
