Great location on a farm, warm, very spacious inside and kitchen well equipped.
Accessible via 5 miles of very narrow rural roads from Helmsley. Nice pub 3 miles away in Hawnby

Large spacious property. An accessible ground floor bedroom for my sister, who has mobility problems. The property is part of a working farm, but we were not disturbed by noise from outside.
The house is very well equipped.
We found that one of the legs on the settee was broken, but this was fixed by the site manager the next morning.
We would have liked shower gel in all the bathrooms. There was a handsoap dispenser for the sink, but no other toiletries.
The hot water was scalding hot. We thought this could have been dangerous, should there have been children staying.
We thought that the double bed and two single bed mattresses were hard and a little uncomfortable. The duvets and pillows were of a good quality, but the duvets were very warm for the time of year.
We felt that the ground floor bedroom's ensuite would have benefited from grab rails in the shower and at the side of the toilet. My sister was in need of a raised toilet seat, or a frame around the toilet. It would be very helpful for anyone requiring an accessible bathroom, to have these items of equipment provided, if possible.

The cottage was very clean and cosy. There was an enclosed garden for the dog, 😊 it was a lovely stay and we will be back!
