"Me and my girlfriend loved the feel of coziness and safeness of the place, yes given that it is small that doesn’t mean it is bad. It was perfect for our first ever stay at a location and it was close..."

At the Black Bear site, you will have a fire ring, 2 chairs, Full size bed with sheets and blanket, lamp, tv & dvd player, electric heater and a/c. This camper is for 2 people but could accommodate 1-2 small children by turning the table into a bed. There is a bath house in close proximity to the camper for our guests to use. You need to bring your own towels and personal care items. We have farm animals that you will fall in love with and a lot of area to go hiking if you like to. The stars and fireflies are amazing at night. If you are looking to get away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, then this is the place for you. Pastures everywhere you look. While you are here you can say Hi to all our farm animals and watch them play. Relax and unwind from everything here. Enjoy the beautiful views all around and connect with nature. There is a pool on premises that will be open from May - Sept. Towels will be available at the bath house. Our Cafe and Marketplace are next door in the big metal building. Come grab a bite to eat and shop. Moncove lake is about 10 minutes away where you can fish and kayak and with a community swimming pool. Five stars is not enough for this beautiful place. I booked on a whim I didn’t expect much but when we got there it was beautiful, we were then greeted by the two most friendly cats I ever seen along with all the other well maintained animals. The little black bear camper was the best sleep me and my husband had ever had in our lives, the phones were off but that was perfect because we didn’t want any distractions. My 13 year old daughter at first was your typical teen who loves the internet but she actually loved it after 45 minute and was asking when can we go back. The host was friendly and went over to make the stay out of this world.. book this now you can thank me later

Me and a friend stopped by on the way back from a friend's wedding. The host was excellent with communication, and responded astonishingly quickly when I contacted them with a question regarding check-in. The camper is in a secluded location with plenty of wildlife around (both farm animals and wild animals). We arrived at night, but when I woke up in the morning, I walked out the door to see a beautiful red fox scurrying through the meadow beside the camper. I walked a short way down the hill to the bath house to get ready, and I discovered that there were adorable farm animals everywhere (they were very friendly animals as well!). I could not recommend this quaint place more! There was no cell signal, which is a good thing (though there is Wifi at the bath house, if needed)! There is no noise, and you are just surrounded by the beauties of the West Virginia terrain. A brief note about the animals: It is spring time, so there were a few adorable baby animals. I took the liberty of picking up a baby goat and enjoyed holding him for a bit. There are also cats that will follow you around and enjoy your attention as you explore the beautiful (and well-kept) grounds!Thank you for a wonderful stay! We had a great time!
