We have stayed at the Oar House several times now and had yet another pleasant stay. It is quiet, peaceful and well-equipped. We're guessing the previous visitors hosted a celebration of some sort because there was glitter throughout the downstairs (bathroom rug and baseboards, bedroom louvered closet doors, dryer, and rugs). The Oar House has always been clean, but glitter is like an "invasive species". Anyone who has ever had school age children's art projects in their house can attest to this. I work with preschool age children, so I am not "anti-glitter" by any means, but just be aware that your clothing and belongings will have a "sparkle" to them throughout your stay and be a "souvenir" that comes home with you. In time, with repeated vacuuming this too shall pass.

This place was just as described in the listing, the host was great at communicating, definitely a wonderful place, very clean, well-stocked kitchen, very hospitable host. Hospitable host. The air conditioning was great and we had no issues with cooling the house. Would definitely recommend this place to others.

I understand that air conditioning can be an issue, but maybe having fans that guest could use would be helpful. In addition. Everything else was lovely
