About this apartment rental
We have owned this condo for 14 years and have just recently decided to share it with the rental community. We will only be renting the unit out for a few weekends and holiday periods during the ski season when we cannot use it. We like it too much to share it more!
Not a typical rental, this spacious condo has been appointed with our own family and friends in mind. It is a large 4BR/4Bath condo in Rising Bear Lodge with an amazing location and views of Stratton Mountain and the Commons. The Commons' amenities include an ice skating pond, the Mill House (with skate rentals), lobby lounge with large fireplace and cozy seating, outdoor fire pit by the pond, indoor heated parking for 2 cars, cedar sauna, and a year-round outdoor heated pool with two hot tubs. It is a short walk across the street to the Stratton Village and Main Base Lodge with their shopping, restaurants, market, bars and activities. Or take the shuttle from Parking Level 2 right to the base. Black Bear Lodge is also just across the street with its Table 43.1 restaurant.
The condo unit is two levels on the top floors of the Rising Bear building with plenty of space for a large family or two families vacationing together. It has an open concept floor plan - with dining/living/kitchen on the lower level (in addition to two bedrooms and two bathrooms). Upstairs has its own game room with a foosball table, a multigame old school arcade table (Pac Man, Frogger and hundreds more), stand up Golden Tee arcade game and a smart TV (in addition to two more bedrooms and two more bathrooms). 4BR, 4BA in all, it sleeps 10 people comfortably in beds. Washer/Dryer in unit. High speed WiFi. Four smart TVs. Office area in upper master bedroom with printer/scanner.

We had a terrific time! The place was clean and felt like a ski lodge in a great location. The game room was a nice touch and my kids really enjoyed it. The host was very responsive and made sure we were comfortable with everything we needed. We'll definitely want to rent again in the future!

This is a fantastic place walking distance to the slopes of Stratton. Our hosts were fantastic in communicating with us and getting us keys in advance. Their flexibility on check in/out was very much appreciated. The house is incredibly well supplied for a ski house - can't tell you how many times we have stayed at a ski place and didn't have the tools we needed to cook a good meal. And the hours my son spent in front of the classic arcade games (Pac Man, Dig Dug, etc!) were priceless memories from youth shared with him. The bedrooms are well done and comfortable. The descriptions on the website were perfectly accurate and detailed. Wifi was excellent throughout the home. Thank you for a great experience!!

Doug was very responsive and helpful throughout the entire rental process. We stayed for New Years with 4 adults and 6 kids and his ski home was perfect for our group. The game room was a big hit, large dinners with the big dining room table were enjoyable and the close proximity to the village and lifts was great (there is also a shuttle but the walk is very short). We hope to return next year!
