About this house rental
Darling home with a park-like backyard located in Santa Rosa near Howarth Park/Spring Lake, a central location to wineries, hikes, Hwy 12, and a reasonable drive to the coast (Bodega Bay and Jenner). Majestic trees, a meandering stone pathway, seasonal flower blooms, and fern "grottos" create a special place. Relax in the hot tub, have coffee and breakfast in the kitchen nook, and enjoy the gas fireplace in the living room. You may see an owl in the trees.
Living room with exposed ceiling opens up to the large deck and backyard. Kitchen is updated, has a gas stove and oven, and an eat-in kitchen nook. The home has a "dollhouse" feel.
Bedroom #1 (Master) has a queen-sized wood sleigh bed and a large Hollywood Juniper tree outside the front window provides privacy. Bedroom #2 (Garden Room) has a queen-sized day bed and French doors to the backyard, space for working, and a changing table/dresser. Bedroom #3 (Twins Room) has two twin beds and a double reading light that offers a quiet and cozy space with a garden view.
Depending on the season, enjoy meals on the back deck. An easy-to-use grill provides outdoor cooking opportunities. The hot tub is nestled in the back corner among trees.
Please observe max overnight guest limit of 6 and day visitors to 3. No parties or events and no amplified sound (speakers) outside. City of Santa Rosa TOT#3478. We were renovating our house and the Idaho house was just perfect for our family. It was close by, felt like home, and very convenient overall.

The stay was so wonderful! Very restful, quiet, and perfect. The beds are fantastic. I only request would be an additional towel bar.

This is a very beautiful home, as other reviewers state, it seats on a nice neighborhood, and if feels safe and homey. However, during the short 5 night stay we stayed there, we experience enough issues to make our stay uncomfortable. There were issues with the dishwasher, the washer, and the hot tub, which if these were isolated events, we would not mind, but they happened in conjunction with each other and on a short period of time. But what really broke our confidence in this place was an electrical blackout that happened just in the house (not in the neighborhood), that lasted for over seven hours and into the evening. The host, who seems to be very good at communicating and stays on task, tried to help via text, but it was a lot of back and forth and uncertainty. We do not recommend this place if these issues continue to happen. We think the host should have a better grasp on the maintenance and condition of the house.
