4 Bedroom Pettaquamscutt Lake Shores Home

Had a great girls trip with friends visiting Narraganset and Newport, stayed here 2 nights. TP was getting low and Doug had some delivered within 30 min so that was helpful. There were enough seats for 7 people at the dining table. We didn’t realize there was a fire pit, would be fun to try next time. Had paid for a fire pit table reservation at noon street market food hall and that was fun. The Narraganset town beach was honestly a little disappointing as it was a short sandy area and water cold (late Aug). Had a nice day in Newport along Thames street and the 40 steps cliff walk. Didn’t go in the mansions as we’ve seen them before and 25 for an hourish is eh. It was nice to have 4 bedrooms so some girls could have their own room. We didn’t swim at the nearby river, but did check it out at night and it was cool to see the stars (don’t get to see them outside NYC due to light pollution). Would def recommend this place! Had enough parking for 4 cars, including a Toyota Corolla sedan and 3 crossover type cars (Subaru). We brought some of our own food to do brunch at the house then had snacks while we got ready for dinner. The temp was colder downstairs for the basement rooms and it took us a while to tinker with the AC, turned it off at one point but then it got humid so had to turn it on. Bring layers for bedtime.

What a great vacation! Scheduling, check in and communicating with the host - were all super easy. The TV’s & cellphone chargers in each room were very accommodating. Central air worked well, two showers definitely helped out our family. The living has a home-ish feeling with the blankets and many comfy pillows. The washer and dryer were helpful especially with our little kids. The bedrooms on the lower level were well insulated for privacy. The close beach on the river was a great place for the little kids. We did go to some local beaches which were only like 10 minutes away so the location was ideal. The neighborhood was quiet. Some people took their dogs for a walk. The neighborhood vibe is tranquil. So all in all 10/10! We will definitely visit again!

Easy check in/out process. Clean well kept house. Owner provided toilet paper and paper towels very convienent! Quiet neighborhood, would stay again if come back to area!

Nice, clean house with spacious bedrooms accommodated 5 adults comfortably. We were 15 min away from Newport which was very convenient. Our host, Doug, was very attentive and provided detailed info of the area I highly recommend this place.
