House was great. Excellent location. You could get everywhere in 20-30 minutes. House was very comfortable. The air conditioner worked well, which we were very grateful for. Owner was very responsive.

Convenient to the beach, Host was very responsive. Perfect for what we needed!

We had a great stay, the location was perfect for our large family and the house was well kept with everything we needed available. The private beach was definitely more than a 10-12 minute walk as another reviewer mentioned - it was a 1 mile walk and took about 20 minutes at a casual pace. Definitely too long for the kids to walk, and the roads are narrow so I wouldn’t have felt comfortable walking them all down anyway with wagons and strollers in tow, but we had 1-2 adults drive to drop off the rest of the group then walk down to meet us and that worked well. The private beach was not too crowded, and was very nice! The water was calm enough for the kids to enjoy too. We would definitely return for our summer vacation!

This home at Allagash Trail was everything we needed for our family &friends for our beach vacation. The home is large, airy and very clean. My family was pleasantly surprised with the layout. 3 good sized bedrooms upstairs w/ full bath. The kitchen table was able to seat 6 comfortably (we actually sat 8 sometimes and just borrowed the deck chairs). 2 seats at the kitchen island as well.We had 4 teen boys w/ us and the downstairs was AWESOME for them. It was almost like they weren't even in the same house as us. The adults had the upstairs living area & kids had the downstairs. No fighting over the TV. :) There are 2 bedrooms downstairs w/ separate living room and good sized bathroom w/ a stand up shower & washer/dryer.Lets not forget about the outdoor shower. Very useful for when you come home from the sandy beach. Actually, my 7 year old son used that shower every day-he loved it. The private beach associated with the house is about a 4 min drive or a 15 min walk. This walk is probably fine for adults & older kids, but we had 1, 4 and 7 year olds with us...no problem...we just packed up the car & dropped everyone off at the beach, parked back at the house & 2 adults drove the bikes back to the beach. The private beach is BEAUTIFUL. Very clean and not overcrowded. Great for younger kids as there are not a ton of waves. There are other beaches within a 10-15 min drive from the house that were all great.Things to do while your here: Definitely visit Brickley's Ice cream- we walked there twice during our stay-about a 5 min walk from the house & great ice cream!There are a few restaurants right on the main road near the house-we also tried Rhody Joe's on Kingstown Rd that was great (10 min drive from house). Great family scene w/ games for the kids (pool, basketball, air hockey) & a cool bar area for the adults. Food was good, drinks were good, atmosphere great.It rained one day while we were here, so we tried indoor rock climbing at Rock Spot Climbing. It's about a 15 min drive from house & the kids had a great time- this is something that kids 5 and up can do along with adults. In fact, I think my husband has found a new hobby. :) This place has crazy hours too- they are open till midnight! Keep an eye out on groupon or rush49.com for discounts. It was about $20 each for us, but sometimes there are 1/2 off deals going on.We were very happy at this beach house & we plan to come back next year!
