About this cottage rental
Relax, recharge, and disconnect at this cozy waterfront cottage on beautiful Crooked Lake!
The property has a large yard with an outdoor fire pit and a wraparound deck with a beautiful gazebo. Inside, you'll find a cozy fireplace, a large kitchen and plenty of windows overlooking the lake. Our private dock offers space to dock your own boat, excellent fishing, and a pontoon available to rent for cruising the lake! Nearby there are restaurants, ice cream shops, and trails for hikers, bikers, and snowmobilers.
This single-story lake cottage is bright, open, and welcoming — with large windows throughout that offer beautiful lake views. The main living area has a cozy stone fireplace, comfortable seating, which flows into the fully equipped kitchen.
Main bedroom: King-size bed, closet, ensuite bathroom with full shower and jacuzzi
Bedroom 2: Full-size bed, dresser, closet
Bedroom 3: Full-size bed, dresser, closet
Bonus sleeping: Pull-out full-size sofa bed in second living area (perfect for kids or extra guests)
Second bathroom: Centrally located, with shower/tub combo
Laundry area: In-home washer and dryer, perfect for longer stays
Outside, there are two kayaks available for use on the lake.
Enjoy the lake in style! We have a pontoon boat available for rent. Our pontoon is available for $150/day or $1,000/week (must be rented for the full stay). Please let me know during booking if you are interested in the boat!
Please note: While you’re welcome to enjoy the lake from our dock and use the kayaks, swimming directly from the property is not recommended due to the lakebed conditions near shore.
For swimming, there's a public park with a beach and picnic tables just 1/4 mile away, easily walkable or a 2-minute drive!
For security purposes only, we have three security cameras all located on the exterior of the property. The first camera is on the front porch, covering the front door. The second camera is on the detached garage facing down the driveway. The third camera is facing the lake and fire pit area.
Just minutes away, you’ll find local favorites like Twisted Sisters Pizza, Lakeside Bar & Grille, Kaleidoscope Coffee, and Ebaugh’s Whistle Stop Ice Cream. Love the outdoors? Explore the Evart City Walking Trail, Riverside Park East, or take a day trip to the scenic trails around Lake Cadillac in the Huron-Manistee National Forest (45 min drive).

My parents lived on the lake for over 20 years. When this property popped up we decided to give it a go. My husband and I and another couple, had a delightful 5 nights. We got just what we wanted, peace , quiet, and fun!!!

Overall, we had a great time. The location was great and not too far of a drive. Small town atmosphere, and everyone was friendly. The house is very nice and roomy. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable.
We absolutely loved the pontoon and enjoyed taking it around the lake!
The house was very nice, but wish there would have been pictures of the long walk from the garage to the house. It might have changed if we would have booked. It was very hard for my mom to walk that far, so she didn't make many trips with us.
One suggestion for the kitchen - more bowls (mixing/serving). We used the casserole dishes that were in the cupboard. Also, some serving spoons as well would be nice.

We especially enjoyed the spaciousness of this home, as well as the location and the cleanliness.
Hosts were very prompt handling any minor issues we had.

Everything was great! Amber and Randy were both wonderful. Anytime we had a question they responded immediately. Beautiful piece of property that has been well taken care of! Would definitely stay again!
