This home is situated at the base of the North Foothills of Boulder. The backyard patio is the perfect place for enjoying your morning coffee as the rising sun turns the mountains to gold. The house is very nicely furnished, plenty of room. The homeowner is very helpful and communicative. Steps away from hiking and a short ride to groceries and restaurants. 5 stars

We had a terrific stay in this beautiful home in the foothills with easy access to everything. The hosts were just wonderful and shared the best tips for what to do, where to eat, and what to see while we were visiting, and everyone one of their recommendations was a 10/10. They aren’t exaggerating that the running and biking trails are at their doorstep, and we started each day of our visit out there on those trails with the bunnies getting in some runs and enjoying the gorgeous landscape before college campus tours and excursions to Brainard and Rocky Mountain National Park. At just minutes from the CU campus and less than an hour to Rocky Mountain National Park, it is the perfect location and the home and property are maintained beautifully. We would definitely return, and hope to next year for a longer stay!

This is an amazing home in a great location! Clean, spacious and very well-appointed. Always appreciate a cook’s kitchen with quality tools and appliances. The back yard/patio is perfect for hanging out. Also loved being able to walk out the door and on to the trails. Martin is a very responsive host. Would definitely stay here again!

This was our second time staying at Dakota Ridge. We love everything about the property. Clean, comfortable, kitchen has everything you need to cook 'at home', great location. Very close to campus but also far enough out to avoid congestion. Love the hiking trails across the street from the house. Great patio area out back, you can watch people paragliding from the ridge behind the home. Our son will be in Boulder for another two years so I'm already planning for a third stay at Martin's property!

A few of our friends rented this property for a weekend get-together and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The property is located near hiking trails, in a calm neighborhood, and a short drive from downtown Boulder. The property was well-maintained, and loaded with amenities, for our stay. Came to town for an extended stay to visit our college kids between their summer and fall semesters at CU. Great proximity from their apartment and to trails (just across the street) for walking and running. Also, to grocery market, Farmer’s market, Pearl Street and restaurants. Enjoyed wonderful drive and hikes around Lake Isabelle in Brainard Lake area and Rocky Mountain Park.

This lovely home worked very well for our multigenerational group. The home was beautifully furnished and well equipped with more than we needed. Our grandkids loved the nearby park, and enjoyed watching the paragliders sail thru the air! We didn’t do much meal prep in the home, but the appliances and outdoor patio and grill looked great! Our active group enjoyed the close proximity to mountain biking, hiking and even a float on the frigid Boulder Creek! We would certainly stay at this property again!

Spent a week in Boulder with the family visiting our CU student. Could not have stayed in a better place. House was lovely, views from the patio were outstanding! Kitchen had everything we needed for home cooked meals. Adult kids loved the workout room in the basement. Location was great for visiting Estes, Nederland, Pearl St., Chautauqua. Also loved the hiking trails within walking distance from the house. Highly recommend!

We had an amazing time staying in Martin's house. There were 6 adults and 2 babies and the house was perfectly spacious and comfortable for all of us. Our family of six adults vacationed in Boulder. We were thrilled to stay in Martin's home, one of the finest vacation homes we've rented. The house is across the street from the Foothills Trail and the Boulder Open Space - excellent for runners, hikers, and cyclists. The neighborhood is quiet with little traffic. Central Boulder, with its exceptional restaurants, is an easy 10-minute drive down Broadway. We recommend Sherpa's Nepalese restaurant and the Dushanbe Teahouse. A neighborhood grocery, Lucky's, is nearby. The house was spotless and the six of us had plenty of room. The kitchen is modern and well-stocked. We enjoyed viewing the snow-covered western hills from the back patio and wrap-around front porch. Pictures in the listing give an accurate impression. It was easy for us to reach Martin with questions. When unforeseen circumstances arose, Martin was flexible regarding changes in our plans. We highly recommend this listing and would happily stay here again.

My husband and I returned to the Boulder area for our son’s graduation, and stayed in this home with our son and his partner who came from Washington. We easily could have accommodated another couple or two. Boulder County was our home for 30 years and this was the best location for enjoying all that Boulder and the surrounding area has to offer. The home is spacious and comfortable with spectacular views and incredible access to all the walking/running/hiking and biking you have time for. You can walk to many restaurants and coffee shops, including a newer bakery called Moxie that makes breads and pastries with natural leavening using locally produced, hand milled flour- out of this world! Downtown Boulder is an easy drive, bus or uber into town. And it’s a great home base for exploring surrounding areas including Lyons/Estes Park, Longmont and Niwot. The neighborhood is quiet, the patio is lovely and the kitchen well appointed. Wonderful property!
