Cortijo La Hoya

Spectacular place. We spent four days in complete relaxation, surrounded by nature and with dreamlike views. The drive up is about 15 minutes on a stone track, with some friendly cows that occasionally make you wait until they let you through :) A SUV-type car is recommended for that reason. There are two buildings: a full house and another with two adjoining apartments. Each has a small kitchen and living area with garden views — everything you need, and decorated in a really cozy way. The bathroom and bedroom, the same. The pool is perfect, the water nice and cool, with views over to Africa and all the boats crossing the strait every day. The garden is large and beautifully kept, like the whole property. A paradise for switching off, and we had it all to ourselves. Great for celebrations and families too. Rafael is lovely, and his dogs are a joy — we looked forward to their visit every day. There aren't many places like this left, and all the good reviews from previous guests are the real thing. We'll definitely be back.
