-Our neighborhood offers multiple hiking trails and waterfalls right on property
-The incredible Alarka Creek Falls trailhead is a quick drive away
-There are many fishing holes along Alarka Creek on your drive up to the cabin
-- Location and Roads --
-Searching for "Honey Bear Retreat" or "Alarka Highlands" in Bryson City, NC on most map apps will get you 99% of the way there and we will provide you with detailed directions upon booking to ensure a seamless arrival.
-AWD or 4WD is highly recommended, especially in the winter months due to the chance of snow and ice; we highly advise against motorcycles due to gravel roads.

-Sheets, towels, and bedding, along with additional hot tub towels
-WIFI phone for making calls during your stay
-Hiking sticks
-Starter pack of necessities: toilet paper, paper towels, soap, and dishwasher detergent
-We try to make sure that firewood for the fire pit is supplied but due to the varying delivery schedule we recommend that you bring a bundle of firewood
-- Policies --
To maintain the utmost comfort and safety for all guests, we kindly request that you adhere to the following policies:
-No smoking and no pets allowed, violations will result in a $150/night fine.
-Maximum occupancy: 4 guests, including children (please note the cabin is not baby-proofed)
-Large gatherings, camping, or motorhomes are not permitted.
-While we don't offer refunds solely based on bad weather or forecasts, we do understand unforeseen circumstances and are more than happy to work with you and credit you for a future stay. Please keep in mind that the period from mid-December to early March typically experiences the most snow and ice, and we may request that reschedule your stay to ensure your safety. AWD is necessary during these months.

-For the safety of the cabin and our guests, we have exterior security cameras facing the parking area and the street.
-Indoor fireplaces are turned off from May to September.
