About this house rental
Perfect for the Family to Escape to one of South Carolinas last non commercialized beaches! Edisto is a beautiful island, lined with bike paths, state parks and more. Our 4 bedroom 2 bath vintage home has everything you would need for your family's beach trip only a few minutes walk to the beach. Fall in love with Edisto!
Our house:
Come unwind at our classic Edisto beach getaway. Just 5 blocks (and only a 5 minute walk) from the beach and conveniently located near some popular island restaurants. If you want to leave the beautiful marsh view from the back screened porch, Hop on the bike path and explore the island. Adventure to Botany Bay to look at all the Conch Shells or let your kids fish at Jason’s Lake.
There is a wonderful large sitting space under the house with lots of room to store your bikes and beach gear, and shower off in our outdoor shower and relax in the shade. Also an outdoor ping pong table for kids and adults to enjoy! There is an extra fridge in the work room in case you need more room.
Our kitchen is fully set up with everything you could possibly need! Coffee maker, dishwasher, microwave and more.
While our look may seem more 1980s golden girls - this house has all you need and more!
The master bedroom has a walk in closet, a queen sized bed and has a day bed if needed for extra space or a nice nap. This room shares a jack and Jill bathroom with a stand up shower.
Bedroom 2 shares the jack and Jill bathroom and has two full beds.
Bedroom 3 has a queen size bed and a nice size closet for storage and to hang up clothes. This room is right beside the second bathroom.
The 2nd bathroom has a shower tub combo and lots of room to hang towels.
On the other side of this bathroom is Bedroom number 4 - a fun kids room with two bunk beds.
Linens are provided - they will be cleaned and stacked on each bed for you to make up when you arrive.
From our Apple TV, log into your Netflix or Hulu account and watch movies from our flat screen smart TV.
We do not provide cable or satellite television. We provide WIFI access. There are some board games there to play and many books to enjoy.
Bring:
Beach towels, the towels provided are not for the beach, only the bath.
We have central air and heat and a washer and dryer available for guests. You will have access to the whole house! We keep our personal belongings in one of the storage units under the house and in a locked closet in the hallway.

Summer bookings are weekly with a check in/out on MONDAYS.
You will need to bring your own beach towels, TP - only septic friendly, trash bags, paper towels, soaps, shampoos and conditioners. There is a complete list of things to bring that will come to you once you book.
There is NO CABLE, but a smart TV (Apple TV) you can log into your netflix or Hulu account.
The freight elevator is locked and unavailable for renters, because of insurance policy.
The owners golf cart and boat are locked and not available to renters because of insurance policy.

Great shag beach house. Home is older and comfortable. Vintage furnished. Record turntable with albums from Rush, John Denver, BeeGees and more. Puzzles, books and games available for guests. Porches and game area below to enjoy with family. Close proximity to beach, groceries and popular island restaurants. Host easy to communicate. Our group had a great trip and made fun memories.

Generally our stay was very good. We loved the location - an easy walk to the beach. We liked the beds and the layout of the place. There were a few things that needed attention and the manager addressed them promptly. A few items in the house need some tlc - the back porch was not clean. The living room furniture was clean but could use some sprucing up. The back deck/steps need some major attention. Overall if you know what you are getting yourself into and not expecting this to be the most up to date place it was a very pleasant week.

I probably shouldn’t be saying this, in fact I was told by several locals to keep this a secret. Edisto is truly a hidden gem. It is one of those well kept secrets that is best left a secret. The beaches are beautiful and quiet. If you are looking to stay on a quaint little island away from all the crazy, this is the place.

Upon arrival the owner did email me to advise me the tv was broken and that she would send her handy man out the next day with a new one. He did arrive lunchtime the next day as planned. Even though you could log into Wi-Fi you could not get a signal unless you were on the back porch or on jungle Road The website indicated there was a hot tub. There was in fact, not a hot tub. The kitchen could stand to have a little bit more utensils When cooking seafood, I was able to find the crackers and forks and knives at the local grocery. All in all it worked well for our family for eating meals together, relaxing together and sleeping. We were there for the beach and that’s what we Did every chance we got.
