Into The Woods: Basse Terre Retreat

If you’re looking for a cozy log cabin retreat bring the family to enjoy our 2700 square foot chalet-style home made entirely of northern white cedar nestled in the hills of Pa. The house boasts incredible architecture, natural wood beam ceilings and large windows with spectacular views. Keep an eye out for eagles that live in trees along the lake or watch as the whitetail deer feed in the picturesque forest environment surrounding the house. The lake house sleeps 8-10 people.

Our home features an open floor plan and three levels of living, offering plenty of space for everyone. You’ll love the floor to ceiling windows and vaulted ceilings featured in the main living area. In the winter we are beautifully decorated for the holidays for family gatherings or a nice quiet getaway. Cozy up to the fireplace on those chilly nights or enjoy lounging on the spacious wrap around deck that offers water views of Bimini Lake.

The modern, fully stocked kitchen features stainless steel appliances and granite counter tops. Everything needed to prepare a meal is supplied. Enjoy a dinner “at home” at the custom made dining table or breakfast bar. All appliances and laundry facilities are brand new.

Down the hallway past the half bath you’ll find the master bedroom and en suite bathroom with a combination shower and soaking tub. Up the stairs you will find a spacious loft that overlooks the living area and has a double sized bed. Another full bath is located across the hall from 2 bedrooms with queen sized beds. Another full bath is located on the downstairs level which also has lots of room to gather, watch movies and play games. Each bedroom has a spacious closet and smart tv’s for streaming shows and movies from your favorite app. We provide ample bedding sheets and blankets if you have a larger group and want to utilize the cots, sofa, or king size double height air mattress for sleeping.

The gravel driveway can park up to 5 cars. Enjoy contact free check in with our key-code enabled entry device.

We provide starter products for Shampoo, Conditioner, Body Wash, hand soap, dish soap and dishwasher detergent. All towels and linens are provided. If using the grill or fire pit you can purchase a refill for the propane tanks at the local gas station.

A signed rental agreement is required to book. NO PARTIES OR EVENTS. Maximum 10 guests at all times. All names on the guest list must be provided to gain access to the property as this is a semi-private gated community. We reserve the right to request a copy of ID. Minimum age for person renting is 25. Check in is 4PM, Check out is 11AM.

Excellent location for week-long family vacations with lots of local and nearby attractions, excursions and restaurants. We are a 5 minute drive from downtown DuBois where you can find grocery stores, restaurants and stores for your basic shopping needs.
