The cabin is located a quick ten miles from downtown Ellijay and truly is a dream come true in the mountains. The warm furnishings, ample space and pure comfort make this a unique place to stay during your escape to the mountains. As you walk inside, you'll notice the lovely indoor fireplace with a painting of the cabin's namesake right above it. Rudy was the owner's father who grew up in the country hunting and fishing and would have loved spending time at this cabin. It's meant to create positive thoughts and a reminder to enjoy life with our loved ones for all who stay at Rudy's Retreat.
Another place for bliss and fun at Rudy's Retreat? The well-stocked game room. Enjoy billiards, a foosball table, and air hockey when you stay here. For the family that likes being competitive, we've got you covered!
The outdoor areas are immense and lovely, complete with an outdoor fireplace, a gas grill, and a hot tub. Fire up the grill and cook some delicious burgers and take a seat at the outdoor table. Cozy on up to the fireplace with a glass of wine and Fido (yes - the cabin is dog-friendly!) and get ready for an evening you won't soon forget.

We had a really lovely Thanksgiving week at Rudy’s Retreat. The cabin is cozy, spacious, and set in a beautiful, peaceful location—perfect for relaxing and enjoying time with family. We especially loved the porch, the fireplace, and how comfortable the home felt once we settled in.We did have a couple of hiccups with early check-in and the hot tub repair taking longer than expected, but the team was responsive, and everything was taken care of during our stay.Overall, we made wonderful memories here and would happily return!

Took our son and 5 other teens for his birthday. Cabin was spacious, clean and organized. This is a great space for kids.

We arrived and found the property very clean and very well furnished. View from the rear deck was amazing! However, we quickly learned the upstairs A/C unit was not operating properly. We called the Blue Ridge Property management group and they responded very quickly. The representative was very patient and walked me thru the process of checking the thermostat and filters. The upstairs filter at the air return vent was found to be filthy and needing replacement. We spent nearly two hours on the phone and with maintenance (one general maintenance rep and one HVAC rep) trying to explain the situation so they could troubleshoot the units. In the end, the upstairs compressor was found to have a leak and had to be recharged. However, after the technician added gas to the unit, the unit still didn’t work properly the last night of our stay. So, we spent two nights where our guests had to endure temps near 80 degrees due the HVAC system not working properly. Last thing we wanted to have this situation while trying to spend a relaxing weekend with our family. Frankly, we should be reimbursed for some of the cost of the stay.
