Traditional House in Koskinou

There was confusion about where this house was located as I entered the address and thought it was in Rhodes Old Town. It is in an out of the way neighborhood with nothing much going on there. You must have a car to stay here. The house is cute but mostly uncomfortable. The bed is up on a loft that is reached by a curving staircase with no outside railing - very scary to come down at night if you have to go to the bathroom. (I would recommend having another bed in the main space and just offering the loft bed as an extra) The lighting is all way up high and there are no lamps to read by or to create more intimate space. When the overhead lights are on you can be seen by all the people who pass by on the street, so there was no way to be private except by closing the shutters or turning off all the lights. The couch is uncomfortable since your feet can't reach the ground. The neighborhood is noisy - there was a late-night brawl at a nearby restaurant on my first night and then I was awakened very early the next morning by a terrible clanging which turned out to be church bells. Giorgios was very good at communicating however, so that's a plus.
