About this house rental
Welcome to your Montana retreat! Nestled on a peaceful 10-acre ranch, this cozy 1,200 sq. ft. cabin offers stunning views of Big Mountain, a quiet ranch setting (complete with horses and hypoallergenic dogs), and all the modern comforts you need—just 4 miles from downtown Whitefish and 23 miles from Glacier National Park.
Built in 2011, the home features vaulted ceilings, expansive windows that frame gorgeous sunsets over Big Mountain, and a warm, updated interior. The open-concept living space is perfect for couples or families looking to relax, recharge, and soak in Montana’s natural beauty.
The primary bedroom has a plush king-sized bed and en-suite access to a bathroom with dual vanities and a freshly updated shower. Upstairs, a cozy loft with three twin beds offers a fun, shared space for kids or extra guests.
As you arrive down the tree-lined drive and pass our friendly horses, you’ll feel the stress melt away. Though you’re tucked into a quiet corner of the countryside, you're only 7 minutes from downtown Whitefish and 15 minutes from the slopes of Big Mountain.
The guest cabin is adjacent to our main house, so we’re nearby if you need anything. We've thoughtfully stocked the home with everything from a blender to a Nespresso machine to make your stay comfortable and carefree.

Our family of five came into town for an event in Whitefish in August, and also visited Glacier National Park for three full days of hiking and exploring. This property was the perfect place to come back to recharge for our next adventure. We left early and came back late most days, and the kitchen was perfect for all our meal prepping. The beds were comfortable, and the kids liked having their own loft space. The sunsets over the mountains were idyllic and the host family were some of the nicest people we have had the pleasure of staying with, and hope to cross paths with them again someday. Having dogs and horses on the property was a major selling factor for our kids (ages 9-15) and really added to the homey ranch experience. They also had an outdoor basketball court that they were happy to share, and our son was thrilled. Our family vacation was really elevated by our stay at this rental and we all loved our time there to reconnect and appreciate the authentic beauty of Montana. A wonderful stay for our family of 5 (5, 7 & 8 y/o children). Great location just moments away from Whitefish and CF. Tons of stuff to occupy our kids and the best hosts we’ve had.Thank you!

If you’re considering booking a stay at this breathtaking property, just do it! Gorgeous views, quiet and private, yet still close to grocery and conveniences. John and Kristine are sweet, helpful, and thoughtful hosts. It felt more like we were staying with friends than renting. My teenager loved playing basketball and interacting with the horses and sweet dogs. The home is clean, comfortable, and stocked with everything you need. Now I have to find a reason to come back!
