8 / 10Excellent·Jul 2026
The rooms appeared to have been cleaned sometime ago. There were several dead bugs laying around in the floors. The smell of the fireplace was horrible when we got there. After two days, the smell was gone. Which just confirmed the place was cleaned most likely when the last guest departed, but apparently it had been some time. All of the towels that were hanging and ready to use were also dusty and dingy because they are white and had been bleached for a long period of time. There were several lamps that did not work and several places had bulbs that need to be replaced. They communication was great. Hot tub was great and the kitchen was fine. We were excited about the 45 Akers however upon arrival we learned that the guest house is on one side and you are forbidden to go to the guest house and there are neighbors on the left side so you definitely don’t want to encroach on their property. We were expecting way more available outdoor space for hiking and walking which was advertised but actually just walking to the pond and back is about all you can do on the advertised 45 acres. My family and I have been coming to Blue Ridge for several years and usually stay at the same property and decided to venture out this time. This property was more than double the price and I just don’t feel like for the price the difference it was much better. I just feel like you should adjust your advertisement for 45 acres and maybe more attention day of arrival of guest

We rented this cabin for a long weekend with 12 adults and 6 children, and it exceeded our expectations in every way.The location is unbeatable. Sitting right on the Toccoa River, we spent hours fishing, relaxing in the hot tub or sauna, and chatting around the campfire. The space worked beautifully for our large group. Everyone had room to spread out, and the common areas were big enough that we could all gather comfortably for meals and games without feeling cramped. The kitchen handled the demands of cooking for 18 people without issue. The hosts were fantastic—quick to respond to questions before and during our stay, and genuinely helpful when we needed recommendations for local spots. It's clear they care about their guests having a great experience. We're already talking about booking again next year. Highly recommend for anyone traveling with a big crew who wants that perfect mix of togetherness and relaxation.
