For those wanting to stretch their legs, the Great Smoky Mountains National Park is just down the road. Enjoy hiking and overnight backpacking seeing some of the most gorgeous views the southeast has to offer. The 11-mile hiking and biking trail of Cades Cove is a highlight! At Ober Gatlinburg, everyone in the family can have fun! Whether you’re skiing or snowboard, tubing down the snow an innertube, lacing up skates for ice skating, or racing one another on the alpine slide, the fun will never stop! For the foodies in the group, feast on true southern cooking at a plethora of restaurants. A personal favorite is the Apple Barn in Pigeon Forge, where the apple fritters and julep are salivating. Gatlinburg has a thriving arts and crafts scene, and Shiner’s Hollow is right around the corner from Buckhorn Road with amazing artists ready to show you some of their latest creations. The area is well known for its family-friendly entertainment, so take in the sights and sounds of Ripley’s Believe It or Not, The Stampede, and The Titanic. Dolly Parton’s Dollywood is the amusement park never to be missed with a theme and water park, along with displays setup during Christmas.
