A beautiful setting and the facilities are simply perfection! All of the staff are welcoming and incredibly knowledgeable. The food is wholesome and delicious - particularly the breakfast! The homemade bread was amazing. The game drives are wonderful, brilliant guides and no feeling of being rushed.

The remoteness and nature

The food was poor with the cheapest wine available! Quite unnecessary.

We recently stayed at Quatermains for 3 nights. We chose the location as it is only an hour's drive from Port Elizabeth. From the minute we arrived, we had the best time! The accommodation is great, a fixed structure tent with a bathroom, an outdoor plunge pool that transforms to a hot tub at night, heated by a fire. The staff were all friendly, knowledgeable and just outstanding. The food was delicious, and so much of it. I am vegetarian and had plenty of variety. The game drives were just incredible, we saw so much! We had a couple of incredible thunderstorms, especially great experienced from the hot tub! We also did a walking safari which was amazing. We truly loved every minute of our time there, and cannot recommend it highly enough. Thank you Riaan, Julie and all the staff at Quatermains. You made our holiday so memorable.
