My stay was relaxing and peaceful. The place had all of the comforts I needed. The only downside beyond their control were the nasty latern flies on the staircase. I am a breast cancer survivor and when I arrived there were white daisies on the kitchen bar, the next morning they were pink. Such a nice sentiment.

We stayed here to visit the Shenandoah National Park. It was about a half an hour drive to the entrance. Not far from Luray Caverns and a Walmart. The place is cute, but you do have to walk up a lot of stairs to get to the room. There were 5 very cute cows on site that we got to see everyday.

While relocating to the area and searching for a new home, my husband and I stayed here for a month and greatly enjoyed the peace and quiet. Chip is an outstanding host who went out of his way to make sure we were comfortable. He was quick to respond to any questions and requests and you can tell that he loves hosting. We brought our Mini Aussie who absolutely loved the freedom of running around off leash on the beautiful acreage. Walks down to the river were wonderful and tranquil. Chip is very generous to allow the dogs freedom to romp and play which we really appreciated. We wished his pups had gotten used to us more so they could all play together but we understand. Dogs are very protective of their people and that's a good thing. We did have some ticks get on our dog but they were easy to see and remove and he was protected by Bravecto. Hotels have been very stressful for all of us as I have a disability and have an extremely low tolerance for noise. Here you can hear some dog barks occasionally but nothing really distressing. This was exactly what we needed after traveling from Washington state and then Florida and being on the road for a few months. We bought some organic apples and carrots and really enjoyed feeding the horses from the farm next door a couple of times. We would definitely recommend staying here to anyone looking for a peaceful country experience. Thanks Chip!
