Coco Sunset Hills is a sprawling gated community with 6 amazing pools, beautiful landscaping, and lots of parking. This complex is just a short walk to two large plazas (Pueblito Norte and Pueblito Sur) that are home to many fantastic restaurants, a coffee shop, a grocery store, a day spa, a medical office, and more! Cross the street and you’re on the beach path, just another 1-minute walk to the beautiful sand of Coco Beach. You’ll find many, many more restaurants as well as shops, a casino, and 3 large grocery stores in Downtown Coco, just a 10-minute walk from your door.
Playas del Coco is just a 25-minute drive from Daniel Oduber Quirós international airport in Liberia. Several supermarkets, fruit vendors, and more restaurants, bars, and shops to count. Enjoy a walk along the beach boardwalk or stroll the beach from point to point for a 3km walk. Many scuba diving, sport fishing, and sightseeing tours depart from Coco. You’re also close to several area day trip spots – waterfalls, hiking, hot springs, and mud baths, cultural experiences, and river tours. Playas del Coco is the perfect home base for an amazing Costa Rican vacation!
Enter the condo into the open kitchen/dining/living space. The kitchen is nicely equipped with fridge, ceramic cooktop and even an air fryer. Dine in at the breakfast bar with seating for 3. Just beyond the kitchen is a dining table that seats 4 and a living space with large windows that offer views of one of the 5 pools in the complex plus, you guessed it, the ocean. Spend evenings relaxing on the comfortable L-shape sofa with built-in power outlet and USB ports plus a Smart TV for streaming your favorite movies and shows. This living room is a converted exterior patio, so you can choose to have the doors open to the bedroom or close them and draw the curtains for additional privacy. The bedroom has a new queen mattress (June 2022), a Smart TV and a closet with plenty of clothes storage and a safe. The bathroom sits at the end of a short hallway and has a large shower stall.
From inside the unit, you have a door that accesses your private rooftop terrace. This space has stunning views of the Pacific Ocean, the tropical mountainside and Playas del Coco. There is a covered pergola area to provide shade and shelter from any passing rain. The terrace is equipped with a comfortable sitting area, lounge chairs, a gas BBQ, and beautiful live-edge dining table with seating for 2. Gaze at the ocean or spot howler monkeys on the mountainside during the day, watch the sunset and gaze at the stars.
The condo has a private, stacked washer & dryer just outside the main entry and is equipped with all linens including beach towels, bath towels, and bedding. There is super fast wifi throughout the condo with 100MB download speeds and wifi access in the common pool areas.
!!!NOTE!!! This unit is on the 3rd floor of the building with no elevator. To get this view, you have to climb some stairs (68 of them) so this condo is no recommended for guests with mobility limitations.

The property is as great as advertised. Check-in was easy and smooth. Security were patient and helpful. The roof patio has an awesome view of the town. This was our first time in Costa Rica and everyone was very nice and welcoming. Rich Coast was very responsive as well. Thank you for the great experience!

Good stay so long as you understand what to expect. There are 4 flights of stairs to get into the place, no skipping them. Nice view from top porch, but zero sun protection from 3PM until sunset. Community pools are really nice and clean. Place could use at least 2 more pillows, we sent in that recommendation already. There where plumbing issues, but we also reported them and hopefully not a problem for next group. Bedroom A/C is decent, but they send you an email warning system "may" break if you set it below 74 degrees. Personally, I feel that is not a reasonable ask for visitors who travel from a much cooler climate. Knocked off 1 star for A/C issues. If I could do half stars I'd knock half of one off for roof patio offerings as well. Overall, decent place but a bit pricey for what you get.

Very high quality accommodations both in terms of the unit and the pools around the complex, it felt like a mini resort - but I would stay here again purely for the view from the roof, especially for the value

This was our first time to Costa Rica and the place was exactly as described. Yes, there are a lot of stairs, but the ad clearly states that in the description. Everything was exactly as described and the complex was quiet, clean, secure and the property management team was professional and always available. Definitely will stay here again. You will not be disappointed by staying here.
