About this house rental
Open floor plan with views of a green meadow full of wild life and Blue Hill Bay. Great screen porch to watch colorful sunsets. All the amenities , fully up-fitted kitchen, clean crisp linens, washer/ dryer. The perfect quiet get away for a couple, with town 5 minutes away.

My wife and I stayed four nights to celebrate our anniversary and enjoy the Maine coast. Proximity to Acadia was good - about an hour drive. We were happy to be away from the bustle of Bar Harbor.
The location was serene. View was fantastic and the screen porch was clean and quiet. The house is beautifully decorated and even more warm and comfortable than the pics would indicate. The kitchen is great with every gadget and supply one could hope for.
Blue Hill is a very nice area. Half an hour drive to the absolutely beautiful little fishing village and harbor of Stonington. Took the Mail Boat from Stonington to Isle au Haut and it was wonderful.
No air conditioning but the whole house fan worked well even though we hit what will likely be the worst heat wave of the year (90F). Slept great with the windows open and the fan on low.
Overall, the stay exceeded our expectations. Beautiful, comfortable, quiet, super-clean. Highly recommended.

The online photos, promising indeed, didn't do justice to this property. The inspired design of this cottage delivered charm, comfort and functionality, and knock-out natural views. It truly exceeded our visions and expectations. From the welcoming perch of the tree-nestled screened porch, we enjoyed beautiful lush gardens and pond and harbor views. We felt worlds away, though lovely Blue Hill was mere minutes away by car. This might be the best vrbo experience we've had...and we've had many.
