At the cozy Fireside Suite you can enjoy an entire downstairs private level of our charming home conveniently located near all West Portland highways. This location in Portland’s suburbs neighbors many shops, grocery stores, walking trails, parks, and Portland’s Washington Square Mall. This downstairs suite can comfortably accommodate up to 4 adults and is readily family friendly equipped with a pack-n-play, high chair, children's utensils, and a spacious backyard playground.

My husband and I spent 21/2 months this summer at The Fireside Suite to escape the heat of the hot summer of Phoenix and provide daycare for our two yr old Grandson. Our stay was fabulous! Nick was extremely reactive to any concerns and glitches that arose. The apt was furnished and provided much comfort and a great sleeping bed! The swing set, large yard and lovely path through a small wooded area provided much activity for our 2 yr old Grandson. We experienced some noise issues while watching tv. We felt safe and comfortable in this lovely apartment.

This was a great property in many ways. The rooms were spacious and well-appointed, and it was nice to see a host who was thoughtful enough to include a decent workspace.
The other big plus with this property is that you’re minutes from Washington Square Mall and all of the major attractions on Portland’s West Slope, and you can get into central Portland without even getting on the freeway.
The only minor drawback is that this is a multi-family dwelling, and we did hear a fair amount of noise from the other tenants and their two dogs. However, they do not have kids, and are gone during the day, so all in all it was still a positive experience. The other tenants usually went to bed around 9PM and then we’re out of bed around 8AM, and even on weekends, there was some noise, but nothing unbearable.
Despite these minor issues, the host Nick is professional and reliable. Despite some noise from the nearby highway (you won’t hear road noise as long as you’re inside), this is a nice, spacious unit in a great neighborhood of established homes.
There is a New Seasons and several great restaurants five minutes away, including the Tigard location of Mike’s Drive In and the Lake Oswego Grill.
If you’re staying in Portland for longer than a few days, this property is a great choice, with a few minor issues notwithstanding.
