Summary:
Deep within our psyche lies a romantic image, that of a log cabin tucked into the woods perched above a babbling trout laden stream. Perhaps inside there's a sheepskin rug laid before a grand fireplace, a reading nook, and a child's dreamy hideaway loft. Or maybe you're out on the deck, a crisp morning bundled and sipping cocoa on a rocking chair, or nights soaking sore bones and soaking up the sounds of the stream & kids below roasting smores by the fire. Now make that dream a reality!
The Space:
Remote and authentic 1942 log cabin has 2 small bedrooms, one bath and a loft up some rather steep stairs. The loft has 4 twin beds (stacked as 2 in photos) and a full futon. The spacious deck includes a hot tub, bbq and outdoor dining and sitting. Below the deck, there's a firepit, hammocks, and wading pool inside the stream. Fishing is fly fishing only by valid permit, catch & release only.
Guest Access:
The cabin is located 1/4 mile off a paved road. The bridge upon the entrance is sturdy but may be slippery in bad weather. Access to the cabin requires caution in good weather, and all wheel drive during bad weather. There is ample parking in front of the cabin. The entrance is to the far side patio door and the access is via key code.
The Neighborhood:
Located literally over the river and through the woods, this log cabin is tucked a few miles off of Marshall's Creek Road which is beautiful in an of itself.
Getting Around:
Located 1/4 mile off a paved road on a rough but typically drivable narrow bumpy dirt road. In winter 4 wheel drive vehicles are recommended as ice and snow may persist.

We enjoyed sitting on the porch drinking coffee and reading, soaking in the hot tub after hiking at Bushkill Falls and sitting by the fire pit listening to the creek. It was peaceful and relaxing! We weren't inside much but everything was as advertised. Devin rerespoi

It's a beautiful place where we relaxed as a family before the kids started school. Would we come back to this place? Definitely yes, but first I would like them to improve with the cleaning. The hot tub was a little dirty, the grill and the grill utensils too, the sheets and towels smelled used or maybe they didn't let them dry properly in the dryer, the bathroom rugs smelled very unpleasant and the bed in the main room makes a lot of noise! After all, everything was perfect! It deserves a 10/10 but because of those little details it won't be possible!

Unfortunately my husband and I did not have the same experience as the rest of the reviews. This trip was for our 4 year wedding anniversary and it turned out being terrible. The day of our stay we still did not receive any information about check in. I had to reach out to the host for information. The response was “I meant to send this yesterday” The cabin definitely has a cozy look, but that’s about it. When we first entered the cabin there was a terrible smell, almost like an old Cigar smell. For the cabin just being cleaned I feel like it should have a “clean smell” That odor was just the beginning of odors, which in the end was the reason we left a night early. The bathroom smelled horrid, it started off with a slight smell and it grew stronger. I can’t even explain the smell but it was bad enough we had to hold our breath while using the bathroom and we decided we couldn’t take it anymore and we left at 9pm to go home. Moving on, there was a bottle of wine left but no way to open it. The grill was previously used and not cleaned and the grilling tools were left dirty with food sitting outside. The path leading down to the fire pit and creek is very overgrown with weeds. The hot tub had so much debris in it there was no way it was cleaned prior to us. Other reviews talk about s’mores being left, we didn’t get that. For the price we paid to stay here it definitely did not meet our expectations. It’s definitely a cute little cabin and the attention to detail that went into decorating it is outstanding. If only it was cleaned and maintained better this experience would have been completely different.
