The Mist Holiday Bungalow

Amazing views from the balcony (when it's not misty) and really convenient location! The owners are extremely kind and helpful, I arrived quite undecided about my plans and they gave me so many great tips, ensuring that I had a great time in Haputale. They also offered to make me tea whenever they saw me and organised a good massage for me. They were super flexible and accommodating about the breakfast, on my first day I left at 5:30am to hike and they made me takeaway breakfast and the second day they prepared it for 6:30am. I was also able to check in early and check out late without any issues, might be a bit more difficult in the high season if they're fully booked out but I'm sure they'd always try to accommodate every wish. The beds are comfortable, it was quiet at night and I also appreciated the mosquito net over the bed. And I came in a rather low season and had the dorm room all to myself and in the end he even rounded down the price!

I didn't mention that I'm vegetarian because so far all my breakfasts in Sri Lanka were veg anyways but this time I also got some sausages so just make sure to tell them before if you have any dietary requirements :)

Everything 😊 Amazing hosts so kind, friendly and can’t do enough to help with making your stay better. Food is delicious, tea & coffee wonderful. Bed in dorm room was the best ever sleep and so comfortable. Thank you so much for a memorable stay 🙏💖

It would be nice to have slip ons when entering the shower and toilet areas.

Hospitality kindness and food

All good

The view was splendid. The shower had hot water

Quiet dirty. The bed felt dirty, the floor was dirty, hairs and old soap. There was many mosquitoes and no net, no spray no fan.. we couldn’t sleep at all cause of the terrible mosquitoes and to top it up, there was a huge karaoke happening in the floor below us…
