About this house rental
This original early1940's Carmel Cottage has been tastefully updated and exudes old world charm. The home maintains it original latch and key farmhouse doors, rustic paneled walls and wavy glass wood windows. The 2 Bedroom/2 Bathroom w/Office home is located in the Heart of Downtown Carmel. This Cottage is within a few steps of all the great restaurants, shops, wine tasting rooms, art galleries etc that Carmel has to offer. Just a short 12 minute stroll to the beach, everything is easily accessible and walkable. The Sunset Center and famed Forest Theater are also just a couple short blocks away. There is also a lovely farmer's market every Thursday that is right around the corner. We also have a shed in the back filled with beach supplies that guest are welcome to enjoy.
The beautiful and secluded outdoor backyard space includes a spacious deck, fire table, fountain and gas BBQ. This peaceful atmosphere allows you to soak in the great weather amongst the mature Coastal Live Oaks on the property.
Inside you will find 2 bedrooms both tastefully decorated with vintage furniture that add to the charm of the home. In the master bedroom, there is a King bed with a TV and private bathroom/shower. The second bedroom has a queen bed. There is also a separate office that is an ideal space for those that are looking to work remotely.
The living room has a "Art Frame" TV along with a wood burning fireplace. Perfect after a romantic stroll at the beach, a day of wine tasting or an afternoon spent shopping.
The kitchen is well stocked with dishwasher, , wine glasses, pot/pans and a cabinet stocked with spices and other convenient necessities for a cooking dinner for a nice meal at home. We also have a variety of teas, Nespresso and Keurig machines to help get your day started.
The cottage is a short drive to all the tourist destinations such as Big Sur, Nepenthe, Carmel Valley wineries, golf courses (e.g. Pebble Beach, Spanish Bay, Poppy Hills, Black Horse, Bayonet, and Pacific Grove Muni), Monterey Bay Aquarium, Cannery Row, and the Monterey Wharf.

Staying in this beautiful cottage felt like stepping into a storybook. The craftsmanship and attention to detail are simply unmatched, creating a sense of warmth and comfort that is rare to find. Steps away from shopping, restaurants and the charm of Carmel. The cottage had fully stocked kitchen and bathrooms. Down to providing slippers and robes.

Our family stayed for a week, April 4 - 11, 2026, at Beauty and the Beach at 0 Junipero in Carmel, California, and it was amazing. I wanted to move right in and claim it as our own. We loved everything about it. It had amenities that we never thought would be included. They had the best of everything, with wonderful hairdryers in both bathrooms. The convenience of the location was perfect for those wanting to walk to town for shopping, eating, or to the beach. It was beautiful and charming, and we did not even have to leave there to feel the fresh air and see the beauty of the area. It was spotlessly clean. The beds were so comfortable that my son remarked that he wanted to know what type of mattress was on the bed. The living room couch was durable, beautiful, and very comfortable. The dining room table was perfect for the family to sit and eat together. The office was ideal for my son who was still having to work on vacation. My grandson loved the painted rocks in the garden and walkway, as well as the stone turtles which he named. The outside table with the fire pit was welcoming for a fireside chat. The washing machine and dryer, dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, kitchen sink, and stove with every dish, and utensils for eating, cooking, and and making coffee were all there. There was plenty of closet space with hangers, chest of drawers, and robes with slippers for the ladies. Thank you! - Jan R. Germantown, Tn.

Immaculate property with a great location in town and kind, generous owners. We’d come back in a heartbeat!If you have littles, note the patio is lovely but the fence is not enclosed. Wasn’t a problem for us but something to have in mind.It was a dream! Thank you for the great trip!
