About this cabin rental
Enjoy a quiet location close to town and on paved road. This property sits directly in between the towns of Hill City and Keystone! Have a cup of coffee on the front porch and watch the famous 1880's train roll past you a on its way to Keystone. Come evening have a seat and enjoy the wildlife in the meadow directly below you. Easily run into Hill City or Keystone for dinner or groceries or stay home and grill. A short car ride gets you to all of the major attractions including Mt Rushmore (20 minutes) & Crazy Horse (16 minutes) or go the other direction to Deerfield Lake for fishing and boating. The driveway is a little steep and I have had a few guests have concerns about riding motorcycles up and down. Once up the hill there is ample room to turn around a vehicle but I would recommend not taking your trailer to the top. If you do you will most likely be backing it down. There is however a nice flat spot at the bottom of the hill to park a trailer off the road in a safe location.
This Cabin is located in the middle of all the major attractions most of them being less than 30 minutes away.
If outdoor activity is more your style. There are 3 different lakes within 25 minutes or less, not to mention the the Mickelson Trail just a few minutes away with a trailhead in Hill City. Giving you access to 107 miles of biking and walking.
Hundreds of miles of ATV trails are surrounding this area. Less than a four mile drive gets you to ATV rentals and access to Horse back riding.

Loved our too-short stay at this cabin! It was clean, well-stocked and had plenty of sleeping options for our group. The kids loved the game tables and we loved sitting on the covered front porch watching storms roll by, deer in the meadow and just listening to birds sing.

This place is conveniently located in the heart of South Dakota for tourism. It is spacious and had plenty of beds. Fridge was clean and plenty of kitchen space. Kids like the foosball table and seeing the 1880 train throughout the day from the deckThings to plan ahead if staying here- 1- the pots and pans were all scratched which you would be consuming if cooking with it. We ended up going out and buying two pots of our own to use while we stayed.2- tv doesn’t work. Only could watch Netflix and that was because it had an account logged in. We tried getting help from owner and no response. Others had left the same comments in their guest book so it’s a reoccurring problem 3- the water pressure is very weak in showers- But there was plenty of water that we had no issues of not having hot water which was nice. Our only true complaint were the floors. They were not mopped (our feet and socks were black within a hour of walking the house) and there were crumbs in the couch and cup holders and lots of dust and scraps under furniture. Could use a deep clean. Otherwise the place served its purpose for what we needed price was helpful for the location.
