The Stream House at the Lorca (@thelorca) is located at a bend in the Bushnellsville Creek in Shandaken, NY (good feng shui). It's nestled in the mountains and close to hiking, water, skiiing, restaurants and everything the Catskills has to offer. Roast marshmellows in the fire pits near the stream at night or wake up early for a hike with the mountain sun.

We had a really nice time staying at the Stream House. The house itself was clean and had a minimalistic vibe that was perfect for our two toddlers. We were able to hang outside and enjoy having fires and playing by the stream. There isn’t a dedicated path to the stream, which can be tricky to navigate for kids. Also, the house is right on a main road and the property isn’t fully fenced in so another thing that can be a challenge with kids or dogs. Overall we had a great experience!

We went with friends for the weekend of January 19-21. The house doesn't reflect this from the outside, but once you get inside, you will be amazed. Clean, well-kept. We really recommend it. Behind the house there is a beautiful view of the river. When the weather is nice in spring or summer, you won't want to stay inside but outside. Even though it's right next to the road, you can't hear cars at all because they don't drive very often. I hope that we will be able to come there again soon and stay longer.

The Stream House, it is a great house, awesome location, and very well located within the Catskills. The atmosphere listening to the stream is really peaceful and relaxing. The perfect way to disconnect and enjoy nature!

Door in back to storage needs updated, and staff not coming in while staying at location would be nice.
