Stunning Island views from this St. John Villa in Coral Bay

We had a wonderful stay at Villa Helios! The home was a perfect layout for our three couples. Everyone had their privacy in their lovely en suites, with amazingly comfortable beds, and then were all able to come together in the living/dining/kitchen area, which was so well laid out with a well equipped kitchen. The pool and patio area were fine for us but could probably use a little love - maybe a repainting, repairing the lattice work, some refreshed furniture, new loungers, etc. We did reach out to Alec and Nancy about this and they immediately had their house manager, who was so friendly and helpful, come right over and bust out some new wicker chairs for us, so that was awesome! While we did enjoy having the a/c in the bedrooms, the breezes at Helios are SO AMAZING, not to mention the views, that we pretty much never used the a/c in the common area. The home is set in a lovely, quiet neighborhood offering a great, rigorous uphill walk that rewards you with fantastic views. Overall a really wonderful stay!

One of the best parts of our entire trip was this home. It has such a beautiful and very private view overlooking the water. Incredible sunsets and cool breezes. The kids loved the pool, the beds were super comfy and the host and property manager were VERY friendly and helpful. The home is also very close to beaches and a few restaurants. We WILL be staying here again!

Fantastic villa!

I would say overall, the property needed updating. The owners were very responsive, but there was a lot of things that needed looking after the pool was dirty. ( she had mentioned that they clean it on Tuesday, but they never came.) It needs a good painting and overall needs a little bit more attention to detail. More importantly is the need to rent a vehicle!!! when you book this vacation you MUST at that time rent a jeep!!! it was told to us that it was a lot easier than it actually was. So going anywhere can be very expensive. I believe in four days. I probably spent 100 a day in taxis.( must have cash!) Nothing with this property is walkable. There was a detail of having a two minute walk to the beach, which is NOT the case. I would also take them up on ordering food through their service. If you do not have a car, any market is not walkable. There are only 3 to 4 restaurants within 10 minutes ( car ride) Also, the suggested Taxi service the owner recommends didn’t answer my text or calls. The welcome binder needs to be refreshed. Restaurants need to be taken off and taxi service numbers need to be updated. The views were spectacular. The cleanliness of the home was great. The location is not near anything. When you get off the ferry, it’s hard to find anyone who wants to drive you 40 minutes to the other side of the island. We had three people and it was 100. ALSO you don’t have the house to yourself.
