Home Truths:
- Just a friendly reminder that if you'd like pool heat during your stay, requests and payment must be made at least 48 hours before check-in, as we're unfortunately unable to accommodate mid-stay requests. Please note that there is one heater for both the pool and spa, so only one can be heated at a time. If the spa is in use, it may temporarily lower the pool temperature. Lastly, while we’ll do our best to ensure a comfortable experience, outdoor weather conditions may affect how well the water heats. Thank you so much for your understanding!
- Pool heat is not available from May-Sept.
- This home allows pets for a fee. If undisclosed pets are brought into the home without AvantStay's approval there is a fine of $500 per pet.
- Two trifold mattresses and linens are provided.
- There is a fold-out mattress in the Living Room.
- A wood fence surrounding the whole property as well as an iron fence around the pool has been installed since the posted photos were taken.
- The backyard is off of the main road to the main entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. The entrance is under a 5-minute drive away.
- Exterior video surveillance and noise alert decibel monitoring systems are in place in common areas to ensure guest security and compliance with local laws. Please note that only the Ring camera by the front entry is currently operational; the others have been deactivated.
- Due to the remote location of our home, guests may experience unannounced power outages.

This is a smoke-free property. Violation of the no-smoking policy will result in forfeiture of the security deposit, a $300 smoking fee, and liability for any fire or property damage costs.
As part of our commitment to being good neighbors, occupancy limits and quiet hours (9pm-8am) are strictly enforced. No speakers or sound systems will be provided for use in our properties. Violation of any noise ordinances will be subject to fines that can reach up to $10,000 per violation.
Events or parties are not allowed without prior written approval and an additional fee. Any unauthorized parties or events will be shut down and a fine will be assessed. Please inquire for more information about our event policies and fees.
There is nothing more important to us at AvantStay than the health, safety, and experience of our guests & staff. We've enhanced our cleaning and sanitation protocols and are taking extra care to disinfect all surfaces between reservations with hospital-grade disinfecting solutions.

This was an adorable house in a perfect location for exploring Joshua Tree. We loved the outdoor space, the pool, and the house was so lovely and well designed. Delightful trip!

Unfortunately there were no instructions inside the house, so it took us a long time to access Wi-Fi in order to access the house manual. We did not receive access to the house manual prior to arriving in the desert, so we were not informed that we had to pay extra to heat the pool or that we needed to request it to be heated before our stay. We also couldn’t access the hot tub heat for half of our stay, so we were unable to use the hot tub until just before our checkout time. This was really disappointing as the pool and hot tub were one of the reasons we selected this accommodation. We paid and arm and a leg for two nights without being able to use the pool. The house itself was lovely and well-equipped, although one sliding bathroom door wouldn’t stay closed or lock. As we also had toddlers with us, it was a bit of a shock that there were exposed pipes and things sticking our of the areas of the property that were not landscaped. This wasn’t made very clear by the currently posted property images. Bottom line—a lovely house for adults, but quite a stressful and disappointing stay with young kids.
