This house, with breath taking views of the desert and mountains, is located approximately 5 minutes from the park, 3 minutes to Joshua Tree Village, 10 minutes to Yucca Valley and 45 minutes to Palm Springs. Our group had a fabulous stay! The house was very clean, well stocked, comfortable, and really met the needs of our party of eight. The backyard and patio was outstanding! More spaces than we could actually enjoy and views that have us all falling in love with the desert! Highly recommend, you won’t be disappointed!

It was great.The host was really responsive. The place was really clean and nice. There is neighbors on each side, but once you're in a house, it's open space in the backyard. The only downside was that the jacuzzi were not really working, the football is broken.

The property was in a perfect location for a Joshua Tree adventure. We were able to get an early start and use the house as a home base. The house was well equipped with all the essentials. The hammocks were lovely for stargazing! It was a perfect home with plenty of space and activities to keep everyone happy. My only complaint is that there were only two kitchen towels that were not very absorbent and that was a very minor detail. Overall, we loved our stay & would come again.

Jimmy was extremely helpful and responsive to all my questions as my family and I prepared for our stay. The check-in process couldn't have been easier.But the best part was walking into this 4 bedroom emaculate home where we found everything one could have hoped for during a holiday stay. The bathrooms and kitchen were fully stocked, wanting for absolutely nothing.The garage has ping-pong, pool table, the back yard has jacuzzi, cornhole, bbq, hammocks and, the best part, an unobstructed view of Joshua Tree and environs. One of the best properties we have ever stayed at. Great proximity to Joshua Tree Park. Incredible backyard directly adjacent to the desert and beautifully furnished. The house has a lovely spa-like vibe. Well equipped with much to entertain yourself with and nicely stocked bathrooms with upgraded products such as soaps, lotions and towels. Even includes quality bathrobes. This was a perfect place for a girls trip getaway!

We had an incredible stay at this beautiful home in Joshua Tree! The backyard was pure magic—just endless desert and mountain views, with daily visits from coyotes, roadrunners, and lizards. There were so many inviting spots to relax and soak in the warm sun, making it the perfect place to unwind after a day of adventure.The house itself was thoughtfully stocked with everything we could possibly need and more—camp chairs for stargazing, a fully stocked coffee bar, yoga mats, and even shampoo sets. Every detail felt well-considered and welcoming.The location couldn’t have been better, just five minutes from the Western Entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. We spent three days hiking and exploring, and the park exceeded our expectations with its stunning rock formations, peaceful trails, and pristine beauty. Even on a busy weekend, we found solitude just by stepping a little off the main paths.We also made a side trip to Palm Springs, where we enjoyed warm weather and a surprisingly lush oasis at the Andreas Trail in Indian Canyons—seeing waterfalls in the desert was an unforgettable experience!None of us wanted to leave, and we’re already dreaming of a return visit. Highly recommend this stay to anyone looking for a peaceful desert retreat!

My family of 5 had a relaxing stay at Jimmy's place. The 8 security cameras, with one pointing at the hot tub, definitely made me pause -- not clear if security issues or being watched! We would explore other properties unless added to the listing. Just noting exterior security cameras in listing is insufficient.

The Joshua Tree Desert Retreat home was the perfect place for our family to stay while we visited JTNP. There was plenty of room for our family of four, plus my husband's sister who came up from San Diego. The house had everything we needed and a lot of little touches, like phone chargers in the rooms. My boys especially loved the game room in the garage and enjoyed having a place to go play when it got a bit too hot in the afternoon. The backyard was a lot of fun and was great for sitting out and watching the sunrise. We would definitely recommend this house and my boys already said that we must stay there again next time we visit Joshua Tree. Thank you, Jimmy!

This is the place you want to stay if you will be visiting Joshua Tree. The desert view from the backyard is the real star of this property. Loved going to sleep and waking up with the backyard view. The hot tub at night in the backyard (with the desert view) was really something special. The hammock gazebo in the backyard was also nice, along with the little child size teepee tent. This place is roomy, comfy, and relaxing. The kids also really loved the game room. The family loved the nice touches such as hot chocolate, coffee, and popcorn. The property was clean and well kept. To top this off, this property is literally minutes away from Johsua Tree National Park. You can jump in and out of the park as you please because it doesn't get too much closer. All in all a great stay.

If I had to list what was wrong with this place I think I’d fail the assignment. It was just fabulous. The pictures are exactly accurate so I don’t need to say how beautiful the property is. Everything was comfortable, kitchen had everything we needed. Proximity to Joshua tree park was good - you don’t have to drive too far to the gate. We made quick breakfasts then headed to the park first thing in the mornings to beat the heat. Then we’d head “home” for lunch and lounging. There are plenty of places to grab a meal close by. Our favorite thing, hands down, was the backyard area. There are neighbors on either side but you have no sense of them. You feel like you’re alone in the desert. There are so many seating and lounging options. We spent a lot of time out there. It was just so peaceful. I read a whole book in two days in one of the hanging egg chairs. And the outdoor sofa under the shade is heaven. If it’s useful info for anyone - we popped down to Palm Springs once to ride up the aerial tramway. It was only a 45 minute drive and totally worth it. We couldn’t have been more pleased. Our only complaint is that we have to go home to our boring yard now. It’s also worth noting - we were there as a small family vacation but this home can accommodate a slightly larger group. And it if relaxing and reading isn’t your thing then you will still love it, especially the entertainment area. We had a blast playing ping pong. So,yes, we loved it. Really can’t say enough good things.

The Joshua Tree Desert Retreat house was fabulous and absolutely perfect for the group of us 4 adults and 4 kids. Exceptionally clean and well appointed - even with that many guests, we had plenty of hot water and the kitchen easily accommodated us cooking dinners (a couple larger pots were the only things we wished for). The house was cozy and welcoming with lovely touches - beautiful artwork, a super eclectic record collection, LED candles abound and extra toiletries in the bathrooms. The game room was a hit with all of us and we took full advantage of it. It even had an HVAC unit so we were able to warm it up since it was quite chilly when we stayed. Proximity to the park entrance was a selling point but we could have spent much of our time in the backyard since it has an unobstructed view to the east and lots of seating options. Although it was too windy for us to take advantage of the fire pit, sitting outside for morning coffee and listening to the birds was so peaceful. Jimmy was amazing to work with, super quick to answer the questions we had before and during our stay. We highly recommend this property and would easily stay here again!

We so enjoyed our stay in Joshua Tree. The property was very well appointed, in a beautiful area and close to the Joshua Tree National Park. The sunsets are fantastic and it was nice to see the stars with little light pollution. I would stay again!
