About this cottage rental
Nestled along the river front sits the coziest escape! All on one level, with great views from every room. River boat landing within 5 miles to the south! Bedroom one features a queen bed, electric fireplace, & a view you can’t wait to wake up to! Bedroom two features two full beds, also perched along the river side for bright, cozy mornings. Open area features electric fireplace, large TV, WiFi, large sofa (that could sleep one), dining table, & desk area. Home includes laundry use, Full bathroom, & Full kitchen featuring: microwave, oven/range, refrigerator, withcomplimentary coffee. Please make note there is a semi busy State Hwy on west side of property. I bet you’ll forget once you settle in to the close proximity to the river on the east. Within a few miles of Cornell grocery store, Old Abe trail, Brunet Island State Park, which offers hiking, cross country skiing, plus outdoor fun! Close proximity to Lake Holcombe, Jim Falls, Chippewa Falls, & not far from snowmobile trails, & boat landing! Two kayaks on property for guest use. Base price is for two guests. This place offered the perfect getaway from the city, and I loved having the kayaks available for use! The house was clean and comfortable, and had everything I needed to cook. The outdoor area down by the river was peaceful despite the nearby highway, and when the water level is low earlier in the day you can walk the kayaks down to the water. Note that the current gets much stronger in late afternoon and water level rises, so don’t get stuck paddling home upstream. Learned that the hard way!

What a beautiful little place on the river! It was so nice to have cooking utensils and little extras in the fridge! I'd love to stay here again!

River on east side is beautiful. Hwy on west side is loud. Musty smell. Significant mouse problem in the kitchen. Convenient location. Overall a 5 or 6 out of 10
