This house is a little slice of heaven on earth. The house itself is well-designed and beautifully styled, and the location itself is truly perfect. We sat on the deck for hours watching the tides go in and out, listening to the waves hit the docks, spotting seals and eagles, and getting to see a fishing boat unload an enormous tuna they had caught overnight. We could have been fully entertained without leaving the house, but we did venture out to Reid State Park (the homeowners gave us use of a parking pass which we used every day), a nearby hiking area, and a bunch of shops and restaurants in Brunswick, Topsham, Phippsburg, and Boothbay. All of these are easy drives from the house in Georgetown. Again, an awesome location. The house was pristine, beds were comfortable, all the supplies we needed were available. There was an issue with the water running to the house--it was the end of a dry summer and the well was struggling--but the homeowners really tried hard to make it workable and I'm so glad we stayed and rolled with it. I would not have wanted to trade those sunsets and seals for longer showers!I hope we get the chance to stay here again next summer... I wish I were still there now! Don't hesitate to book if you are looking for a quiet, peaceful stay in one of the prettiest places you will ever visit.

On The Rocks is the ultimate Maine getaway. Tucked into the end of the Georgetown peninsula, you have no reason to leave. And yet, there is so much to explore in the beautiful part of Maine from state parks/beaches to fun waterside restaurants and quaint shops. David and Jenipher have outfitted the house with everything you’ll need for your stay. The house is spotless and check in was a breeze with David showing us around. We’d love to return to this little gem!

Sometimes, the vacation property you rent is simply a convenient point from which to engage in activities nearby. But in this case, the property is the vacation. There's plenty to do nearby...several wonderful beaches, one even within walking distance, a few very nice restaurants - don't miss the Osprey, and be sure to treat yourself to one of the many spots offering that iconic Maine treat. We tried a few spots, but our favorite was at the Georgetown market. Unbelievably tasty and well prepared. But to get back to the location, which we found hard to leave for long. On the Rocks puts right over the water, with three walls of windows giving you a constant view of the water, wildlife, birds, boats, and gorgeous sunsets. Viewed from indoors, or the deck, it's simply breathtaking. We couldn't get enough. At low tide, a great sandbar opens up in the inlet, and it's worth finding or bringing a kayak or small boat just for the experience or walking along it. And dont miss the seals! We lined up each night to watch them fish and play in the waters around Fort Popham, also an incredible sight. The house itself is immaculate, smells incredibly good, offers everything you could want in kitchen amenities, towels, sheets, etc. Super comfortable beds, and mini splits in the living and sleeping areas for delightfully cool sleeping and relaxing even on the hottest days. Just an amazing stay in every way.

Beautiful spot with amazing views of the Kennebec, Fort Popham, and lots of comings and goings on the water. The weather changes as quickly as the tides with fog, cool breezes, and full sun. It is a glorious spot to avoid the heat just 10 miles inland. It is a terrific launch pad for walks, beaches, bike rides, food, and tourist spots.
