Farmhouse in the heart of nature SOUTH ARDECHE

This is a perfect destination for those wanting to get away from it all in the Ardèche. The house is charming and comfortable with great facilities; it's sited in a beautiful garden of mature trees and shrubs at the end of a long lane, and is surrounded by wildlife. This area is a bit wild and away from some of the more touristy parts of the Ardèche, but there are convenient shops and a weekly market just 10 minutes drive away; the daily bread from Lablachère is fabulous; the food and wine in this region is very enjoyable indeed. In the immediate area of the property are many interesting activities, from ancient castles to adventure sports. The owners of the property were kind enough to leave details of perfect wild swimming spots, dining recommendations and other destinations, which we enjoyed endlessly. Our stay was 12 days with two grandparents, two parents, a 6 year old and a 2 year old. We found the property very practical, although with quite steep stairs. It was very hot weather during our visit and we found the property quite comfortable. It suited our requirements well and I think would suit friends very well too; having several bedrooms and bathrooms. You would struggle to stay here without a car. A really enjoyable visit and I can't wait to go back.
