About this house rental
Please note that I live in the adjoining house, but when you’re outside, there’s no direct line of sight to my property. You’ll feel right at home.
This is a smoke-free property; ashtrays are available outside in the courtyard or in the cupboards.
The house features a living room with a 120/200 sofa bed and an open kitchen, as well as a loft with a 140/190 bed. It’s close to amenities; within 4 km, you’ll find a supermarket, pharmacy, restaurants, and more, with a market on Saturday mornings.
The Ain River is 4 km away, featuring lovely sandy or pebble beaches, as well as numerous tourist attractions such as the town of Bourg-en-Bresse and its Brou Church, the pedestrian-friendly town of Pérouge, etc.
Check-in from 3:00 PM / Check-out by 12:00 PM
Non-smoking accommodation. A maximum of 2 sociable and house-trained pets are welcome at no extra charge. Please note that there are also cats and a dog living on the property who may encounter your four-legged friends.
For long-term stays, please return the completed seasonal rental agreement sent by email. Upon your departure, you will be asked to leave the property clean and in the same condition as you found it upon arrival, to place dirty linens (sheets, towels, dish towels, etc.) in the laundry basket in the bathroom, and to put away the clean dishes. Please empty the trash and recycling bins (located at the bottom of the hamlet) and empty the ashtrays.
For the first few days, I provide the following supplies: toilet paper, dish soap, sponges, shower gel and bar soap, trash bags, instant coffee and coffee for the French press, tea, sugar, herbal teas, laundry detergent packets, oil, mustard, vinegar, and salt. To restock these items, there’s a U supermarket 4 km away in Pont-d’Ain.
A few small appliances in the kitchen:
Available for your use: a juicer, a crepe maker, a raclette machine, and a pasta maker.
Sheets, comforters, bath towels, and dish towels are provided.
ONLY THE NUMBER OF PEOPLE SPECIFIED AT THE TIME OF RESERVATION IS PERMITTED TO ENTER THE ACCOMMODATION. My prior authorization must be obtained via email, text message, or in person to bring a guest. NO OVERNIGHT STAYS FOR GUESTS
For medium- or long-term rentals, a flat rate for water, heat, and electricity applies.
If consumption exceeds the flat rate, the additional amount will be charged at the current rate.
The additional amount will be automatically added the following month as a charge to be paid separately.
The property is well-insulated, and heating is provided by gas central heating. The thermostats are not locked; we trust our tenants to turn off the heat if they open the windows and to lower the temperature when they are away. Since 19°C is the recommendation from ADEME, 18°C is the minimum temperature required by Article R*111-7 of the Building and Housing Code, and 19°C is the upper limit defined by Article 241-26 of the Energy Code. We do not wish to pass on the soaring energy costs to our tenants through our rental rates.
The heating season traditionally runs from October 15 to April 15 of the following year.
The house must be left “clean”: dishes washed and put away in the cupboards, the refrigerator cleaned, and the floors vacuumed. Laundry should be taken down to the bathroom and placed in the laundry basket.
For those with pets, please give the area a quick sweep
To help me prepare for your stay as best as possible, please feel free to let me know your preferences or expectations. I’d be delighted to prepare for your arrival so that you’ll find everything you need without feeling overwhelmed.
