The Demoiselles at Versailles, Residence of the Swiss

Stunning property in great location, thank you Katia.Other reviews noted the one bathroom accessed via the main bedroom and the third bed being a sofabed. As a family of 4 with an older teen on the sofa bed this was not a problem for us (and a small sacrifice for such a fabulous place)

Fabulous location in Versailles. Of note this is a two bedroom, you access the bathroom through one of the bedrooms. Their is no parking onsite. Street public parking at 120 a day. So add this to you expenses

Apartment as detailed but sofa bed is awfully uncomfortable and the noise in the front of the apartment at night makes it even harder to sleep, especially on a noisy Saturday night. Owner was lovely and driver she recommended (Luis) was truly exceptional. The main negative was the concierge who had not put in his diary the correct date of our stay (these things happen but he tried to blame me even though I had followed the check in process and then he admitted his error). This meant he was not there to meet us and the apartment was not at all ready. we ultimately didn’t have access until 11pm with the cleaner (who Luis had to collect with us in his taxi) cleaning around us for an hour! They asked if they could come and clean the rest the next day but the next day they asked if they could come the day after. I agreed to this but when they did come they broke a table, left a window open, didn’t clean the oven and folded up the sofa bed which then needed reopening after a long day sightseeing. I had made it clear we would not be leaving at 10am due to the check in problems we had had. I texted to say the time I would be leaving and was hounded by the concierge to get in and received a nasty text message. Such a shame as Versailles is stunning, the location is great but our experience with the apartment really spoilt the first holiday we have had in 10 years
