Is was fantastic, the house and view from the tarras and windows is so beautiful that it is almost impossible te leave.

Upon arrival you can either go t one of the two bedrooms or up the stairs to the living area, immediately you are greeted by the glass wall with a great view of the ecenery around you. There you have a kitchen, dining table, reclining area and a third bedroom. A great place for a great price!

Wonderful rural getaway

We loved staying at the Dijkhuis in Schenkenschanz. The bungalow is located on the dike overlooking the flood plains of the Old Rhine River. A great place to watch geese, storks and other birds. It truly is a beautiful and quiet location. Schenkenschanz is a quaint small village surrounded by a dike and walls to protect from extreme floods. The bungalow is amazing. Well cared for with a well equipped kitchen, just like you would have at home. The owner and property manager both go out of their way to help you have a great stay. We loved the sauna and the in-floor heating. We look forward to a return here. Fehr family

Wir haben ein super schönes Wochenende in dem Haus erlebt. Alles war top in Ordnung, es fehlte an nichts. Der Panoramablick in die Natur war großartig. Man konnte Vögel beobachten, schöne Spaziergänge machen und die Seele baumeln lassen. Wir kommen sicher wieder, dann aber etwas länger.

Das Ferienhaus ist sehr ruhig gelegen. Wunderbare Radtouren am Niederrhein sind möglich, gut ausgeschildert mit Knotenpunkten. Empfehlenswerte Einkehrmöglichkeiten "Cafe im Gärtchen" Richtung Millingen NL und "Pannekoekhuys" in Hoch-Elten.

Es war mir ein Vergnügen in dem Ferienhaus meinen 50sten Geburtstag im engsten Freundeskreis zu feiern. Eine traumhafte Aussicht von der Terasse und eine sehr gut ausgestattete Küche. Schafe begrüßen einen wenn man mit einer Tasse Tee morgens über den Rasen läuft und die Vögel zeigen ihre Kunststücke. Ein Wochenende wie ein Urlaub. Dankeschön.

Wirklich schön, gut ausgestattet, Zimmer unten klein, aber völlig ausreichend, da man sich nur oben (Wohn-Essbereich) und auf der Terrasse mit dem tollen Blick aufhält. Klare Empfehlung für das Haus und die Umgebung. Wissen muss man aber, dass der Weg, wegen der Wasserlage, weit ist um von der „Insel“ zu kommen.

Von der ersten Minute an absolutes Wohlfühlen. Besonders hervorzuheben ist die Sauberkeit und das wirklich alles vor Ort ist was man braucht. Die Vermieter sind super nett, höflich und sehr zuvorkommend. Ein absolut grandioses Entspannungswochenende mit tollen Aufgüssen in der Sauna, Ruhe, Wohlfülgefühl und Land soweit das Auge reicht. Dit prachtige en van alle gemakken voorzien vakantiehuis aan de rand van het dorpje Schenkenschanz heeft ons een bijzonder mooie vakantie bezorgd. Het uitzicht vanuit het huis is fenomenaal en de inrichting is van zeer goede kwaliteit. We hebben deze zomerweken genoten van de rust en ruimte en de natuur in de omgeving Je kunt vanuit Schenkenschanz prima fietstochten maken en ook steden als Nijmegen, Arnhem en o.a. Duisburg zijn goed bereikbaar. Tip: neem indien mogelijk een verrekijker mee zodat je de buizerds nog beter kunt volgen. Dit vakantiehuis is een aanrader!!

Der erste Eindruck beim Betreten des Wohnraumes bleibt unvergessen: ca. 180 Grad nichts als Aussicht bis zum Horizont. Phänomenal! Und wundervoll geeignet, um Störche, Gänse und Schwärme mit Myriaden von Staren zu beobachten. Einfach unglaublich erholsam !

Het einde van de wereld is echt een prachtige plek! Mooi uitzicht, fijne ruimtes, goed verzorgd met linnengoed en handzeep. Met een auto zijn Kleve en Nijmegen goed te bereiken. Een aanrader voor moeders die net als wij even willen uitrusten :)
