Wilhelmshaven is nestled in the marshlands on the northwestern edge of the large North Sea bay known as Jadebusen. Visitors to the city can look forward to a varied and enjoyable stay. The Location of the Vacation Rental
The vacation rental is centrally located in a quiet area in the southern part of Wilhelmshaven. There is a bus stop right in front of the house. Parking spaces for your car are also available there. However, you won’t need public transportation to explore the city. Basically, you can reach all the places you’d like to visit within a five-minute walk.
For example, a short walk will take you to the Kaiser-Wilhelm Bridge. Built at the beginning of the 20th century, this suspension bridge is definitely worth a visit. When you’re at the bridge, you’re also in the Maritime Mile area. The Maritime Mile includes some of the most interesting cultural attractions Wilhelmshaven has to offer. First, there’s the German Naval Museum with its historic ships, which are moored right next to the Kaiser Wilhelm Bridge. Then there’s the Coastal Museum on Bontekai, which explores the past, present, and future of the coastlines around Wilhelmshaven. Be sure to include the visitor center for the UNESCO World Natural Heritage Site, the Wadden Sea, and the aquarium on your list. By the way, you definitely shouldn’t miss a harbor tour in Wilhelmshaven.
The Kaiser-Wilhelm Bridge is also the perfect starting point for a stroll along the Südstrand. The promenade, with its historic beach houses, is considered one of Wilhelmshaven’s main attractions.
If you’re in the mood for some shopping, the downtown area—with its many stores, restaurants, and cafés—is also just a few steps away from the vacation rental. Another shopping tip is the popular Nordseepassage.
Not far from the vacation rental is the Wilhelmshaven Rehabilitation Clinic. There’s also a bus stop right in front of the building. The rehabilitation clinic is located on the edge of the spa gardens, home to the pretty red-brick water tower.
After an eventful day in Wilhelmshaven, you’ll be glad to return to a cozy vacation rental. Our vacation rental in the Südstadt neighborhood offers convenient access to everything and beautiful furnishings. Here, you can relax on the comfortable sofa or enjoy some peace and quiet on the balcony.
