The Magnolia vacation apartment offers you a new, well-equipped place to stay on a sun-drenched property in Kordel (Auf dem Pfahl 2). It’s only 13 km to the border with Luxembourg and approximately 44 km to the city of Luxembourg.
In addition, the vacation rental features a spacious living room and a separate bedroom with a modern box-spring bed. The living room is furnished with a comfortable couch, a spacious dining area, a large flat-screen satellite TV, and direct access to the ground-level terrace in the garden. The kitchen features a fully equipped kitchen with an electric stove, dishwasher, microwave, and refrigerator/freezer. Cycling and hiking are among the popular activities in the area. Interesting excursion destinations in the area include the nearby and popular Butzerbach Valley (the “Römerpfad” premium hiking trail) with waterfalls and suspension bridges, the Ramstein Castle ruins, the Genoveva Cave, and the Klausen Cave. The nearby Moselle Valley, home to the Moselle metropolis of Trier, is perfectly connected via the Kyll Bike Path. The Eifelsteig long-distance hiking trail runs through Kordel and the beautiful Kyll Valley on its way to Trier.
Also worth mentioning is the parish church of St. Amandus, with its gray-yellow sandstone, which was built as a Neo-Gothic hall church in 1865-1867. The church’s highlights are its artistically designed stained-glass windows and the Conacher-Fasen organ from 1914/2012.
Trier, with its many sights, is 9 km away and can also be easily reached from Kordel by train (the Trier–Cologne line). Bernkastel-Kues is approximately 33 km away. Nearby airports are Luxembourg (44 km) and Frankfurt-Hahn (90 km).
