Croft Head is a new shepherds hut located on Barkbeth Farm on the foothills of Skiddaw with an elevated position, taking advantage of the amazing views onto Bassenthwaite Lake. Once you are inside the shepherds hut you will instantly forget about the journey you have just had, as you are surrounded by the stunning scenery of the Lake District’s beautiful views, as well as being able to soak up the morning sun.
This property boasts private parking and access to some great local walks, wildlife and cycle routes. Croft Head is ideally located between the popular tourist town of Keswick, which is only 6 miles away, and 9 miles away is the charming market town of Cockermouth - the birthplace of William Wordsworth and the oldest town in Cumbria. Nearby are Whinlatter Visitor Centre and Dodd Wood where you can visit the Ospreys Viewpoint.
Croft Head can be booked together with Fell Foot (UKC5294) to accommodate up to 4 guests.
