Consell De Cent is a comfortable 4-bedroom apartment located just a few blocks from the iconic Sagrada Familia and plaza Tetuán.

The apartment can accommodate up to 7 guests, with a living area that features a relaxing sofa and a flat screen TV, dining area, and fully-equipped kitchen with all the appliances. There is an amazing terrace-patio ideal to enjoy on summer days in Barcelona!



The apartment is 3 minutes from Metro Monumental (Purple Line L2).



The Space:

Welcome to this 147 m2 spacious and bright flat located next to La Monumental, the last bullring in the city of Barcelona. Natural light flows through the living area, making it bright and airy. Surrounded by large windows, the room has a large, comfy sofa, and flat-screen TV, so you can make yourself at home. The open-plan space includes a dining table, so you can enjoy a meal with family or business groups. You’ll find everything you need to prepare a meal in the well-equipped kitchen.



⚠️ VERY IMPORTANT Please note the apartment is located in a residential building, where neighbors live here all year around and it is our obligation to respect their rest. Walls are very thin and other residents of the building very sensitive to noises. Please make sure before confirming your reservation you can adhere to the simple House Rules that are detailed below. Failure to accept and follow those will result on a monetary sanction and eviction from the property with no refund for the remaining nights.

The Neighborhood:

This apartment is conveniently placed near Diagonal avenue and not far from the city centre. Diagonal was originally projected by engineer and urban planner Ildefons Cerdà as one of the city's wide avenues, which along with Avinguda Meridiana would cut the grid he designed for l'Eixample. Both would meet at Plaça de les Glòries Catalanes, which Cerdà envisioned as the new city centre. However, Plaça Catalunya, equally a new addition to the city of Barcelona, and connecting Ciutat Vella and Eixample, and therefore occupying a more privileged position in the urban area, would finally become the centre.



The apartment is located in Fort Pienc neighborhood. Fort Pienc is a neighborhood in the Eixample district of Barcelona. Its name stems from a former military fortification which existed there until the 19th century called Fort Pius, Pienc is an adjective in Catalan meaning related to the name Pius. There has been a strong Chinese presence in the area since the 2000s. The Arc de Triomfis the main attraction in the area, located in Passeig de Lluís Companys-Passeig de Sant Joan, while L’Auditori is an important concert hall.



Getting Around:

The closest metro station is Monumental (Line 2).

The quickest way to go to the airport would be taking the train towards "Aeroport" at Passeig de Gracia. There are trains every 20min and it costs around 5€.



Other Things to Note:

*** TOURIST TAX & REGISTRATION PROCESS ***



- Since 2012 the Catalan administration requires that every guest staying in a hotel room or renting an apartment in Catalunya contributes with a small city tax fee of 9.50€ per guest (over 17 years old) per night up to a maximum of 7 nights. This cost IS NOT included on your reservation.



- National and International police demand that each guest, prior to their visit to Barcelona, would send information of their IDs or passports. This is mandatory, as it is stated in Catalan Law, and all legal touristic establishments are required to do so.



- This apartment uses a self-checkin system via the Chekin platform that will allow you to register all guests on the reservation

and pay the mandatory tourist taxes before your arrival.

Check-in time is at 17:00 hrs

Check-out is at 11:00 am (non-agreed late check-outs will incur on a 100€ charge per hour late)



*** HOUSE RULES ***



1. Parties, drugs, loud noise or any kind of disturbance towards the neighbors are completely forbidden, with a penalty of 400€ and possible eviction

2. Please observe quiet time between 10pm - 9am.

3. Respect your neighbors and be respectful in common areas (hallways, entrance, elevator, stairs).

4. Loss of keys will have a 100€ charge per key lost.

5. Smoking on interior areas will have a charge of 100€ + all cleaning fees involved.

6. Guests take full responsibility for any accidents, injuries or illnesses that occur while on the premises or its facilities.

7. Please leave the apartment in a respectable condition.



Not following those rules will incur on a monetary sanction and the full responsibility of any fines from the local administration or authorities.

My family rented the property for a week long stay. We had a wonderful time during our week stay and intended on returning to the United States on Saturday, June 21 and checking out of the property. Unfortunately, we experienced a family emergency the evening of June 20th and had to remain in Barcelona due to extenuating circumstances. Our host was wonderfully accessible late in the evening on June the 20th when I reached out from the emergency room, and was extremely accommodating in letting us extend our stay at the property during a true time of need. There is no doubt in my mind that when I return to Barcelona I will try to rent this property, or some other property, from this host. I cannot express my gratitude enough.

The apartment is in a perfect location, with supermarkets and the metro just a five-minute walk away. The neighborhood is quiet and safe, making it an ideal place to stay. However, the apartment itself was not fully equipped and needs significant updates. There were not enough towels and toilet paper provided for our group of eight, required us to purchase essentials like seasoning, shampoo ,toilet paper, and garbage bags. In the kitchen, most bowls and cups were dented and unsafe to use. The cabinets are outdated and make a loud noise when shut. The bathroom had noticeable issues, including mold on the door molding, cracked wall tiles, and a lack of ventilation, which required us to keep the window open at all times for fresh air. Additionally, both the bathroom doors could not be locked, which effected privacy. WIFI only works in the living room. Poor connection in the bedroom. Most importantly, the laundry machine dryer did not dry fully ,leaving clothes damp. We had to air-dry everything on the balcony, though thankfully, the sunshine throughout our trip helped with that."

The property needs some updates and the pictures don’t represent the apartment..the walls are dirty, planks are missing from the floor and there is black mold in the bathrooms. The extra bath faucet head did not work and the curtains have holes and are ripped. You get one towel per person for the length of your stay and no hand towels outside of the kitchen. We had to purchase additional supplies for the apartment like toilet paper and paper towels. Make sure you read the amenities thoroughly as I missed that this apartment does nothave AC…. I missed it and the apartment was very warm even in early October. On the plus side, the location is fantastic and close to all the sites and there is a bakery just downstairs as well as a supermarket just around the corner. If this apartment was updated and appeared as nice as the photos suggest this would definitely be a place we would consider but knowing what we know now, I would not rebook or recommend for a friend. Full disclaimer .. I did provide this information directly to the property team and will admit we had a noise complaint the night prior to check out (we had all the windows opened due to no AC and were enjoying a few cocktails later in to the evening).
