About this house rental
Located in a quiet neighbourhood on 1.5 acres, with gorgeous mountain and valley views. You are a short 15 minute drive from the beaches of Dominical and 3 hours from San Jose airport on the easy coastal road, the Pan American Highway.
Firstly - Welcome to our home, we hope you have a wonderful stay.
The House
Is very spacious and light, the ground floor has an open plan kitchen area that steps down into the sitting /tv area. A bathroom is on the ground floor and there is an outside jungle shower facing the butterfly garden. Upstairs there are four large bedrooms, three super kings, two with en-suites and balconies, the smaller queen bedroom shares a bathroom on the landing with one of the kings.
Guest Access
The house is 1 km from the main road on a very good road that is partially paved and it will not be necessary to access with a 4x4, however for Costa Rica in general, this is always recommended. Rentals cars are available to collect in Dominical or Uvita if you would rather not drive the Pan American Highway from San Jose. I can provide you local taxi drivers details, used and trusted who will collect you from San Jose and return you to the airport should you wish. I can also put you in contact with our local agent at Abode for better rates.
The Neighbourhood
It is quiet with a mix of locals and foreign friendly neighbours. The local shops, schools, restaurants, police, church & medical clinic are (1.5 Km) 10 minutes walk away, with a mix of small local supermarkets for everyday goods. There are a number of restaurants and bars within 10 minutes, either in Platanillo or Tina Masters, and Dominical is only 20 minutes with a large variety of restaurants, bars, beach clubs and much more. They are all family friendly and would suit any age.
There are a number of more local activities from hiking to riding tours, and waterfalls to enjoy . We have our own mini hike on the grounds down to our forest canopy fresh water stream, as shown in the photos if you are feeling like exploring or cooling off in a natural bubbling jacuzzi with the mini water falls .
Getting Around
If you choose to take public transport walking directly from the house, its 1km to the road and the bus stops are on either side of the road. They go straight into San Isidro East or down to the Coast, South is Dominical and then further along the coast is Uvita.
