Very nice property on the main channel of Hartwell. As others reviewed, the walkway to the dock is very very steep and makes you think twice about making sure you have everything you need before heading down.
Kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to prepare our meals.

Everything was great , we had 11 people and plenty of space. Comfortable beds, well-stocked kitchen, good water pressure, etc. Our only 2 complaints were: there are no tvs in any bedrooms, which was a big deal for our group. Might not bother others but it really annoyed us. Second complaint is the steepness of the hill going to/from the lake. My mother was never able to go down to the lake because of it. There REALLY needs to be stairs and handrails. It’s unfortunate to have such a beautiful lake that can’t be enjoyed by everyone. We knew from reading others reviews that the hill to the lake was steep but honestly it’s not just steep, it’s unsafe. Everything else was great. We made lots of memories and would recommend to this home to other large groups.

This is a very roomy home with lovely furnishings and a beautiful view. We had 2 families of 4 plus our mom staying here for the week of Thanksgiving, and we never once felt crowded. The game room downstairs was a wonderful place for the teenagers to hang out and roomy enough for the adults to join in the fun. We stocked the mini fridge down there with drinks so they wouldn't have to come upstairs and open the fridge that had all the food. My husband and kids went down to the dock and enjoyed some time on the lake with no problems getting back up the steep hill, but the rest of us didn’t attempt the extremely steep climb.
The kitchen amenities were nice, but there could be some improvements in lighting there. We had to bring a lamp over from the living room in order to have ample lighting which then took up some counter space. The garbage disposal didn’t seem to be working well if at all, and there was a slightly moldy smell when the hot water was running. The grill came on, but it wouldn't get hot enough for us to use, so we just used the grill part over the fire pit coals to cook our hamburgers.
These things were not deal breakers, and I would recommend you stay here as we really enjoyed it here. The beds are comfy, the rooms are lovely, and the view is amazing. The firepit is large and has 2 large benches for seating. The water was easy to turn on and off with a tool already in there for this use, and getting to the key was a breeze. I definitely would stay here again.
