You’ll enjoy a bright, beautiful stay at the beach when you choose the comforts of Modern Manzanita Retreat! Located in a quiet neighborhood a few short blocks from the ocean with sea views from the upper-floor living room, this home is less than a mile to the delights of Laneda Avenue, with its restaurants, pubs, shops and spa. The location also features an easy downhill walk to Neahkahnie Beach, use the wagon to transport the beach chairs and your gear for a relaxing day with the sand and ocean.
Large windows, skylights, a vaulted ceiling with wooden beams, the upper-story great room is inviting with plush seating, a wood stove, and a home theater TV with cable, Blu-ray, and Apple TV (Netflix, Hulu, etc). Fun for the whole family! Play games or read a book from the library, kids can color/draw, read, or play with the toys from the game closet, there’s even a high chair, baby gates and a Pack n' Play for infants. The recently updated kitchen is perfect for preparing meals for a large party, thanks to a well-equipped chef’s kitchen and outdoor Weber grill. There's room for six people at the dining table to share a delectable meal together. Behind the kitchen, you'll find a private office to use as a workstation for working remotely.
A sunny, upper-level deck brings the sound of ocean waves as you catch up with friends. Downstairs you'll find the sleeping quarters and two full bathrooms. The queen-suite bedroom has a lovely walk-in shower and its own private deck for a nightcap or morning coffee. The second bedroom has a queen bed and a writing desk for remote work. The third bedroom has a twin-over-full bunk bed with trundle, along with a flatscreen TV, Blu-ray/DVD player and Xbox One for movies and video games. Through the mud room and laundry area, you'll enjoy the backyard patio deck and private hot tub for relaxing nighttime soaks. The host was very friendly and responsive to questions. The location did NOT disappoint! The late checkout (11:00am vs 10:00am) was pricey, but otherwise the stay was fantastic.

My family all met in Manzanita for the weekend to surf and boogie board. It was raining but we had a great time! The house was perfect.

House was nice and location was good. The two issues we had was the main couch was really stained and we felt we needed to put blankets down to sit. I mean bad.Also we specifically got a place with a hot tub, but found the water to be green in color and have a bad smell. Felt like we should skip it. But at 300 a night it was a big disappointment.
